Lanwar 48 in lousiville was a blast.
Won the TF2 with 2 guys I use to play counter-strike with and 2 other friends. $500!
There was a $500 starcraft tourney also. You guys that play should go to Million Man Lan in the first week of August.

West Coast Warzone was fucking awful. The stream, at least. IPW fucked up. Trying to watch top 10, the stream was going out every 2 or 3 minutes and then just goes out for 40 mins and misses almost all of top 8. Last round of the last game in grand finals, they switch to showing Ricky and Gustavo’s faces and then DON’T SWITCH BACK. And miss the entire final round. Good shit guys.

From what I’ve read/seen in some interviews with MvC2 players, a lot of them are saying that MvC3 is basically a completely different game. So a lot of the tricks and stuff you learned on MvC2 won’t carry over, everyone’s basically on a clean slate.

Also, is GG/the mall open today? May be heading up there in a bit if so.

Yeah man. I still wanna do it. What I wanna do, is get some footage of the AE setup at GG. Maybe we can do it on the tourney on the 29th. Would you be available to come through? We could also do player interviews and stuff that day. Which leads me to: do you have recording equipment? If not, SHAWN or ANYONE ELSE THAT WOULD HAVE SOME, can we use it/you on that day?

Well, I want to think this so that I can give myself some hope of improving at the game quickly, but really like, having previous knowledge of the series, even though it’s a new game, will help you. That’s why I feel like a lot of us here are pretty darn good at SSFIV even though it’s the first competitive game for a lot of us. Most played the old SFs back in the day.

Also, after talking Marvel with Jas for two hours yesterday (again - advice much appreciated sir), being wired to play MvC 2 for 10+ years (6+ at high level i think he said), the way you think about setups, teams, character synergy, assists, etc (list goes on) i think will REALLY help with the transition to 3. Not only that, but to other games as well. Honestly I wish I had played marvel at high level just so i could have that knowledge base to apply to SSFIV.
