Is it really worrying people? The individuals who are shit-talking each other aren’t taking it personal and know what’s up, so I don’t see why the ones not involved should be bothered by it.
Also, Nash seems to have built up this hatred for Gabe, or rather the “Dr. Doughboy persona” from how he posts or because Memphis raggings on him has led to a false belief that dude is worthless. The Memphis putdowns are made with love and the only current…as you all call it “drama” holding any tiny bit of weight might be the GDBell vs Kinetik, but only because Kinetik hasn’t known Gabe for as long as we have or his intentions. But I feel if Woot of all people embraced Gabe (or tolerated rather), then there shouldn’t be any discrepancy if we keep telling people that he’s a solid guy.
You can talk to out-of-towners or even lurk in the other threads and see obvious trolls that the whole entire community hates, and is a virus on a particular scene and has been for years. But they can’t get those person(s) to stop coming to public gatherings and tourneys that aren’t in member’s homes, or from posting on SRK. I swear to God I’m serious, but not going to say who or which state because I don’t want to start anything. Anyway, without Gabe, a lot of this shit would be boring in my opinion, because dude does add hype(no matter if it’s in it’s shittiest form), he isn’t afraid to say certain stuff that might need to be said, and during a dry period he reminded peeps that they could challenge one another and that these are fighting games. Hell, in my opinion, the worst “version” of GDBell isn’t the one that trolls and talks shit, it was the one early on who talked about stuff that he had no knowledge of. And it’s a few of those in the scene right now who will straight up end a convo in awkwardness with laughable misinformation.
