Yeah man, good times. Thanks to Lycan for bringing his PS3 setup and it was good to play against you guys again. Also thanks to eraser for coming. I’ll see you guys again next week.
Good shit to everyone last night at Power Play!!! Everyone is leveling up which is a good thing.
Eraser, that Dictator is nasty. Atleast that’s my worst matchup. Remember that Standing HK and MK are golden. It stuffed everything I had from sweep range! Good games last night.
Squabbler, nice mirror matches last night. That AK is definitely getting better. Try and get that cross up tatsu sweep thing. The timming is tricky at first, but once you mastered it, it will help out your over all game!
Hiryu, always cool to play your Abel. We need to play more, I think everytime I go we only play like 1 time. good stuff though!
I will send all you guys PM’s so please check those private messages.
Mekkanic - thats an awesome vid as Balrog is definitely one of my toughest personal matchups… GREAT info…
yep, that was definitely fun. look forward to next week. i’ll add you guys on xbl too.
Theres also a " how to beat Chun Li with Balrog " tutorial as well
I need a How to Beat Balrog with Guile tutorial anybody have some input or know where I can look for that?
I think Blanka Sis should go to Evo and win the all-female SSFIV event.
LOL, why do you guys need tutorials? Figure that shit out on your own OG style…press some buttons and hope for the best, works for me…
Because things like that are available now…?
First, Be patient. Guile is a zone character/defensive character. Sonic Boom wisely, and punish accordingly on a stupid jump ins. Also, air throw him if he jumps at you at the correct distance. You should know that distance by now. If Rog turn punches from more than half a screen away, then you should have enough charge to flash him right in the face. This is probably only jab.boom though. You can always time any rush punch and throw him right out of it.
Second, Look for a knock down since Rog has no real good wake up options. Headbutt sux on wakeup so he only really has FADC back dash or just dash in general depending on your crossup/jump in.
Third, this is a turtle match and your in favor IMO. You have a fireball. USE IT WISELY. IF he tries to EX rush punch from more than half a screen away then you have several options. If you have Ultra and a charge, then you should react with that. If you don’t have ultra then have a charge and c.strong followed by an immediate flash kick. That 2 hits + knockdown. If you don’t have charge then throw him. Or maybe EX boom.
Fourth, Build meter and bait out his as much as possible.
Fifth, DO NOT USE C.Roundouse. Why would you anyway? Be careful when he has ultra. Don’t throw stupid booms out there. He probably beats you at footsies so practice those. Your normals are probably not as good as his but still throw out fierce’s and strongs to keep him away.
**Sixth, If suggestions 1 thru 5 don’t work for you then you are being outplayed, meaning, you suck! Don’t worry, it’s not the end of the world. Many Guile’s beat Rog’s just not yours! If you constantly lose vs. Rog’s then I suggest you bang your head on the wall twice a day. 10 headbutts in the morning and 10 headbutts before sleepy time. <<<<This could greatly improve your game.
Seventh, If all else fails then dye your hair blonde, cut it in a flatop form(no fade), get an american flag henna tatoo on your left arm, and say fuck SF4 cuz you ain’t gettin better with guile.
Hope this helps! **

“These damn kids and their sex parties and sneakers and video game tutorials. I’m so glad I never worked at Tips and Tricks or helped with strategy guides…”
Did someone say sex parties?
Thanks Lycan I added it to my Guile Matchup section.
Lololol Chris that’s hilarious
This was on the iPlaywinner site, so funny how he says WTF?

Eddie, my 8 year old cousin would not ask this. What the hell is going on in Mid TN?? Long story short, we played T6 on xbox360 a few days before console release and couldn’t get out basic commands. We ended up sharing, and fighting over, the one stick available but all of us actually preferred pad. This makes sense since, Xbox 360 pad isn’t a pad at all. It’s actually just a piece of plastic shit. Smell your hands after you hold one. See?
I wouldn’t advise stick for Tek unless you have a history of playing Tek on stick in arcades like Charlie and some others, will spend a tremendous amount of time practicing your inputs with it so that you can match your pad play or better like Cody, or just naturally prefer stick anyway. Tek movement isn’t SF movement. It’s way more demanding, so just keep that in mind. And with pad play, most players play fingers on buttons/arcade style because really, it just makes more sense.
And people who map buttons in Tek are a waste of life. I won’t say any names. But I’d fucking kill you if I knew I could get away with it. “Hold up, need set buttons, MANG.” In damn Tekken. Your mouth needs to be farted in…
haaaaaaaaaaaaaaahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!
So this is the TN thread huh, cool.
I’m in Murfreesboro and it’d be cool to play with some ppl who aren’t very good at this game, like me. I’ve only played a couple weeks and I wanna play against some dudes who are like me. You can add me on xbl or come over if you’re near the MTSU area.
I have an elite, 23" 1080p LG monitor, 5.1 surround sound, 2 controllers and one tournament edition madcatz stick, so if you have you’re own stick, bring it bro or sis.
You wouldn’t advise it cuz you haven’t put any real time into learning the stick that I gave you =P
And I didn’t spend a tremendous amount of time doing it. You’re just making yourself feel better cuz you can’t do it yourself. slap Once I found the stick that worked for me (Korean), I was going close to even with Rell in T5DR.
Go eat some watermelon and fart in some people’s mouths.
Joker: I was joking, but honestly, the game has been out a year already, not sure why this question is being asked when there are tutorials…but I will say this…most of the guys that do play DO watch videos of Japanese players and matches and know wtf is going on with all that and STILL aren’t imrpoving against unknown “new” players because the videos DO NOT and WILL NOT teach you correct spacing, and that is still what separates the good players from the great players…
