I was about to say cause I rented tekken 6 on 360 and tried playin that game with the xbox 360 FAD and it was pretty much worthless. I know now to get the PS3 version because of this. The game should come with a PS3 pad for the 360.
are there high level tekken players that play stick or is it pretty much accepted that pad is superior?
Well, I know that Kodee plays with a stick, and he’s pretty much the best in the area.
The best players in the world, Koreans, would never dream of touching a pad. After I’ve swapped from pad to stick, I wouldn’t either. Pad can die. If you take the time to learn stick, you will never swap to pad. However, you have people swapping pad -> stick on a regular basis.
Pad is “fine” for Tekken, as it will serve you better in Tekken than it would in something like SF. But if you own a good stick and are already familiar with it, give stick a try first before trying pad. However, many of the best in the U.S. play pad. It’s the overwhelming majority here. There’s nothing wrong with it, just personal preference, but it’s normally out of pad being “easier” to learn and more readily available to most people.
im no tekken pro or even qualified as good, but tekken on stick is just so much easier for me. using the pad to go into forward neutral moves and just playing with the two first fingers to cover the face buttons on pad is way to difficult/even painful for me. but like i said, anything i say about tekken shouldnt be taken seriously…yet?

Good matches tonight guys. Guess I’ll have to start using the arcade stick a little more. I had more fun, and actually did a LOT better then I thought I would, using that than the controllers.
NeoBlood: Hickory Hollow is our primary location, Rivergate is an expansion location, but our lease is temporary there moreso with the Incredible Dave’s LBE Entertainment Center moving in. It is highly possible the mall may not want us back with them in the mall (even though we are shifting mostly to a game store layout Feb 1) but I am keeping my fingers crossed.
Hickory Hollow should have an annoucement (officially) regarding Nashville State sometime in the next few weeks I presume, which would put us on the same path as 100 Oaks Mall when Vanderbilt revitalized it…
