I think you went up a level both times we’ve played. Seriously. There’s still a ton you need to learn and work on, but it’s very easy to see you’re learning, and at a very quick rate. Also, from watching how you’re changing your game, I can see you’re REALLY listening to the stuff I say and you’re applying it more readily and quickly than anyone else who has asked me for help. I’m not like a “god” at the game or anything, but it’s definitely an inspiration to keep trying to help someone whenever I see him/her actually listening to what I say.
Right now you really need to be focused on movement. Learn to be more comfortable with moving among backdash, forward-dash, sidestep left, sidestep right, backdash-cancel, etc, without even having to think. Need to be able to really flow and move around the entire stage w/o any hesitation or hickups. You’re doing ok for now, but being able to move really freely will make spacing a LOT easier once you start learning to do that better.
Also, am I right in assuming you’ve at least STARTED to learn throw breaking, or at least know how it’s done? You broke about 5 in a row tonight at one point but I couldn’t tell if they were all on purpose or complete guessing luck.
Max is getting a lot damn better too. His biggest thing is movement, as well. I feel like I can run in, block, then punish at any time I want with the both of ya cuz you haven’t practiced spacing yet. Though his execution is definitely improved greatly over what I remember a couple months back. You both should learn when to use your lows a little more, Max especially. Jin doesn’t have any great lows, but d/b+4 is fast and HURTS.
You should also both start learning different places to throw in grabs. Come up with your own sort of setups, kind of like “tick throws” in SF. Try to put them into places where they’re in large guard stun or when you’ve thrown lots of moves just before to “mask” them.
so now you can choose which grab from his different sets, and mix them up’, which means you can command grab the entire match and not guess correctly to break the chain throw. via -infinite-
…am i correct?
So… Cookeville is coming up to GG, so would Wednesday or Thursday be better for you guys? The more people that can come, the better. We will probably make it an all day thing, getting there at like 10 and staying most of the day.
There has to be a serious lack of King knowledge or a very smart King player for you to get mixed up by throws infinitely. Some of his throws are practically impossible to break when used correctly but I’d laugh at a King who tried to command grab the entire match. But once you get grabbed, that’s your situation, to either break the ones that you can see or can be broken(not BT), but to also look for the set-ups that can occur ONCE you break them. You shouldn’t have King all in your face anyway. He has too many shenanigans to warrant you not playing keepaway for a majority of the match.
But throw game isn’t why he’s so good in BR. King is a strong character all around. Does not need to rely on command grabs at all.
im not talkin about the inescaple grab(like the rolling thing) im talkin about knowing what they ll do next…they made it where you have to know King grabs or you get stick in a series of throws, Its not like Nina,
he has too many variations…

I stop playing Tekken regularly after 3 came out…played Marvel instead…
somebody should bring Tricky back to the Tekken scene and stop playin poker
Memphis Peeps,
I have some important news to share and some questions that need some answers.
Question #1.) Who all is planning to attend Final Round?(Seriously)
Question #2.) How are you planning on getting there?(Seriously)
Question#3.) Are you getting a hotel or staying with someone?(Seriously)
The reason I am asking these questions is because we need to become a little more organized when we travel so all that last minute KiT shit doesn’t happen again. Since I know that not everyone can drive for various reasons I suggest this.
I found a couple of places that rent vans at affordable prices. They range anywhere from 8 passengers to 15 passengers.
Let’s say we decide to rent a 15 passenger van and we all chip in. The total cost of the trip including gas and hotel is less(let me repeat that…LESS) than $100 divided by 12 people only. Mind you, this is **Renting a SPACIOUS, RELIABLE, AFFORDABLE **Vehicle. Gas is already included in that $100dllrs and the price of the hotel where the tournament is held at! That’s cheap as fuck! If somebody has a better Idea than please post up. If not than post up to say that you are going and that you are serious about going so we can start planning ahead of time.
Kodde Vu,
Sorry I have not been able to send over my Hori. I cannot get to the post office in time cuz i’m still at work. Hopefully by this Friday I will be sending it over! I will definitely give you confirmation when this happens!
Hey guys, I’m sorry to report that I’m going to have to cancel my weekly SF4 session for tomorrow night. I’m coming down with something really nasty and will be unable to host as I normally do. I apologize for having to cancel, but I don’t want to get other people sick, especially since we pass controllers around.
We will have one again next week, same time and location. Again, I’m sorry I can’t host this week like I’ve been doing every week, but I hope that I’ll see you guys at the next one. Thanks for your consideration.
You go to championship mode and hit create game, then wait. Within 15 seconds someone’ll join. If they have less than 3 bars kick them, otherwise hit ‘ready’.
If you’re having trouble with that then you can set up port forwarding to forward port 3074 (both TCP and UDP) and port 88 (TCP) to your xbox.
It’s possible that people are trying to connect to your system but your system isn’t getting the connection. And yes, 360 is MUCH better for getting games going. And Cody is just being negative. Online is never as good as local, but playing on PSN is almost as bad as playing on PC.
Whenever I find someone with at least 4 bars…its a needle in a haystack. Sometimes I can’t even join the games…ill try and open up the ports though I didn’t try that. Maybe that is my problem.
I played max today in a player match and it was green. Felt ok…
