Hey everyone great games yesterday. I feel Tennessee was represented well, but let’s do even better at Final Round. I am definitely stepping up my game from now on and I feel like I learned a lot after yesterday. I know several others feel the same way. Andre and Sanford were really cool and it was good of them to come to our scene, too. Thanks again to everyone who made the whole thing possible yesterday.

I did as well as i expected to do lol… I wish I could have stuck around longer and played some casuals but that would have meant having to borrow a stick every time I wanted to play.
KiT was great from both a competitor and a fans standpoint. I’ve never really even played Tekken but found myself caught up in the hype with those last few matches (featuring Memphis’ Lil Maajin). I think my favorite players to watch were Charlie’s Guile and ShenLongAbusers Gouken.

T6 casuals after the tourney along with casuals at my place with Crow before and after have revived my confidence in my Tekken game. I know with practice and learning all my matchups I’d kill at tournaments. Who’s not too scared to learn a new game and step up to train hardcore w/me? Anyone?
Everyone saw how hype the South is about Tekken. It sucks that Mid TN is not a part of that.
Chris entered his first “real” Tekken tourney this weekend and nearly won a legit match after having played with me like… 3 times? and really listening to what I told him to do. Good shit to him.
KiT was really great. I had tons of fun and can’t wait to go to FR and see/play everyone again. I feel perfectly fine with how I played. I lost against Andre, who won, and Clint ( I need Sagat practice ) who did very well, so I don’t feel bad. Just unlucky. KiT basically confirmed that I have a mind-boggling amount of leveling up to do to not be trash, but I pretty much knew that. Got a fun match or two with Sanford in, and tons of time in with Andre so that was great.
My only complaints were the set-ups with absolutely NO CHARACTERS that we couldn’t even use at all… And TN playing 75% other TN players, but that is noone’s fault.
The TN qualifier… I didn’t really care about at all. It just seemed completely pointless after my first match. I knew if I lost a match, it was pretty much over with only two spots open, and I wasn’t fully with how things were being done. Good shit Shawn and Linuka, though. Jacob as well.
Congrats to Majin on his badassery in Tekkinz, and good shit to everyone there.
Though a lot can change between now and FR13, I can get behind this team as a pretty good bet to be about as good as any other.
- Lil Majin - This means you gotta play your ass off too from now til FR13 just like the rest of this list! Even if you hate this shit just as much as I do
- Euegene - If he’ll find a character he’s confident with and stick to him/her while training for FR13, he’ll be great.
- ShengLongAbuser - Out-of-towners really have a hard time putting a pin on exactly what this man can and can’t do. He makes people cry.
- Linuka - Like it or not, he with his dumbass character continues to beat many of us. Don’t know how it’ll work out at FR, but we’ll see how good he is with some training.
- Shawn McCool - Easily one of THE most dedicated to the game and I bet will work his ass off in preparation.
Good luck team TN. I think I could have been on that list with practice, but not a single hard feeling there cuz I said up until the last minute that I wasn’t even going to try out. And I REEEAAAALLLYYY don’t want the obligation to continue playing the hell out of that game until FR. So to everyone on the list: Go kick some ass! It’s up to you guys to play your asses off between now and then!
