So i have finally decided that i am going to completely stop playing Ranked Battle. I feel like it gives me bad habits that tend to translate over into my endless matches and i believe will come out in offline play whenever i start having those.
Online play is all about bad habits…that’s why I consider them two different games. One has footsies and countering, one does not.
Its really hard when all you have is online play. I am just now starting to get to know most of the people in the area and finding out where to play. I feel that this is one major disadvantage i am at. That and just really starting to try and be serious in December about this game…im kinda late to the game.
No , Stop :nono: :nono: :nono:
You are welcome to come and play here anytime. Josh is in the same boat. We have asked Thomas (Spire) and Linuka and neither one of them has ever taken me up on the offer to come and play with Josh and we don’t know anyone else in Knoxville that plays. Aaron (chithappens) is supposed to host some fight nights starting like next week or something so maybe you could come to some of those.
I plan on taking you guys up on that offer. Money is just kinda tight right now with me going back to college in the next few days and this weather but trust me i plan on getting some games in with Josh. Also I plan on going to Aaron’s fightnights when i get my school schedule cleared up and finally in stone.
So now the burning question remains…
…is the MVC3 Special Edish worth it? Amazon.com: Marvel vs. Capcom 3: Fate of Two Worlds: Special Edition: Playstation 3: Video Games
- 1 Free Month of Marvel Digital Comics
- Jill Valentine and Shuma-Gorath already paid off and purchased
- Steel game box
- Some dinky comic book insert
I don’t think I’d ever even feel like using Jill or Shuma-Gorath so I really don’t wanna drop $10 extra on a couple of characters I don’t want to use and a handful of comic stuff I don’t really care about. I hate nice things.
Trippfan: In this day and age with You Tube and Training Mode and endless videos, people learn stuff way faster. Right now the SSF4 comp here after almost 2 years is the same as about 5 years with no videos from back in the day…starting late doesn’t mean anything anymore…I just think people end up expecting to win by playing a lot and it never works out that way…you could play all day and still lose to people who barely touch the game…
Knoxville area is funny, you have the most people that DON’T meet up in person ever…
Josh, Linuka, Trippfan, RedRockCandy, Spiralbottom, Dragonplex, etc…
That’s team NAH if I ever saw one.
I completely understand about money and time. I don’t know anyone lately who has much of either one. LOL!!
Pardon my ignorance, but what is the difference between regular version and special edition? MvC3 that is.
oh ok.
I’ll be out at the arcade around 4:30
Special/Collector’s edition will have codes for Jill Valentine & Shuma Gorath (four weeks after release of game, everyone else have to pay for dlc) , one month of marvel.com digital comics entry, comic and artwork. Regular is well… regular. You get the game. Oh wait …system decals, but that for all editions at gamestop.
Now Jason don’t you even put Josh in that category!! LOL! I TRY people just don’t respond, so what are you going to do? We have never even met dragonplex and redrockcandy and don’t even know who else lives here. Need I remind you how many tournaments we have been to over the past year plus how many times to GG?? Josh definitely isn’t a part of team NAH. Hahaha!
No team would want me. Im to free right now.
but i honestly believe if the people had a venue to play at in this area, we would probably meet up and play but the only places to go are like CM games and pay out the yang to play for an hour on there setups or other console cafes in the area.
But just think of how better you will become if you come and play with Josh and the guys at fight nights.
No doubt about that. I have to get better…i really dont think i could get any worse.
You have to remember that everyone has to start out at the beginning. The more you play the better you will get. Playing with better players is also a big plus. It challenges you to get even better. Just keep playing, try to meet in person as much as you are able and definitely go to as many tournaments as possible. Even if you go 0-2 I guarantee you will take something away from the experience to help you for next time. Of course like I said I don’t know a thing about the game. I am just speaking from experience of what I have seen with my son.
That seems to be the advice that everyone is giving. This is not like music i just cant grind it out on my own.
