Okay, so after my first night of “official” Super, I’m sort of at a loss. More matchup practice has shown me that once again, I really need to learn as much as I can about any given character. This, obviously, is not going to be a quick or easy process. This is compounded by the fact that I’m having trouble settling on a sub.
It’s an odd feeling. After knowing nearly every matchup and every strat for my character in vanilla, I’m now at square one again. It’s almost disorienting. Why doesn’t this work? Why is this strat good or no good? Is it an execution barrier? and so on.
It doesn’t make it easier for me to be able to swap to my main and crush opponents, then when I go back to my sub I’m flailing around.
man, street fighter is rough… just picked it up last night, but i didn’t expect link/combo/ultra execution to be this rough with ibuki…guess im gonna have to practice my ass off…

Lmfao THawk is a big ol bitch for Cammy. Hawk dive eats cannon spike, every time. cannon strike and cannon spikes can get caught with that retarded ground-to-air throw-your-ass-around-like-a-ragdoll get-back-in-the-kitchen ultra of THawk’s, plus if i remember correctly condor spire (forward ground dash thing?) has priority over spiral arrow too.
I’ve had good luck with spinning backfist and hooligan (especially the low kick that comes out if you don’t grab) against THawk but it’s not like they’re that safe to begin with. You have to play real conservatively against THawk if you play Cammy mainly as a rushdown character 
GGs tonight against Lycan and Jan. I know its online but from what I could tell, Lycan your Juri will be monster! I can tell you have been in the lab. She is a ton of fun to play with. As you can see I haven’t quite made it to the lab with Dudely yet but I will stay in that piece this weekend. Thanks for letting me try out some of the new ultras as well. I love DeeJay’s Sobat Festival. And that Akuma U2 you kept nailing me with is so pretty!! lol

Just to let everyone know… the guys at GameCrazy were very… new… to the fighting game scene. They didn’t understand how the payout on the tournament worked, and were VERY hesitant about allowing ANY kind of payout (the only way they allowed a game is that if it was paid for). The manager equated it to some form of betting or gambling and he wasn’t going to have anything to do with that. I mentioned it to them AGAIN after the tournament that we should’ve done something for 2nd/3rd place, and they mentioned if they do it again the prizes will be cash in the form of store credit. I’m not sure if thats any better… but at least they’re letting us use their place for an event…
