GGs to everyone at the new char tourney. That was a great idea, restricting to new chars. Gave the tourney a certain feel that felt like pre-console arcades… people having to learn on the fly. I had to learn my own char as well as my opponents. Guy is too tricky. Pretty sure I’m gonna try and learn Hawk as my secondary. There was someone else playing him last night that gave me a better idea of his mixup potential.

Cylus and I are about to leave for PPG. We’ll probably be there around 2-ish if anyone wants to show up early. And you want to show up early.
Thanks for the vid eraser, However I’ve been aware of those for a while now. I like what he’s doing with those criscos, but that stuff doesn’t address the issues I’m having with Hakan.
Basically, I’m not sure what to do to keep the opponent grounded. He has some AA normals, but nothing that prevents jump outs as far as I’ve tried. It’s really hurting my game with him. Of course, this is all super ear;y, so I may be missing something fundamental here.

Yeahhh he’s the THawk i’ve had so much trouble with, he mained Gief in vanilla and picked THawk up really quickly. It’s great to have somebody to practice that (awful) matchup with, I guess. Aside from the part where he basically stuffs my whole playstyle but whatever. If he doesn’t think he’s coming to GG next weekend I’m gonna drag him out

Good game at the GC tournament in East TN! It was good meeting everybody/seeing everybody again!! Hopefully we can get together more often in the future!
In other news…does anybody have anywhere I could stay this weekend for MTAC? I’ll pay…I just don’t want to pay for like a hotel room by myself…

To anyone interested: iPlayWinner is collaborating with AllisFighter to do an ongoing series of online tournaments. Hit the link to that article for the info. I think as many of us as possible should register and have a good showing for TN at some of these. They get capped pretty fast though. The first tourney is already full but we can still register and post up in case people drop at the last minute.

Yeah Chris it’s definitely a nice collection. I really just want that Guile tee in white since it looks better to me. I hope it doesn’t get sold out by the time I get some dough up for it. If not I’ll be looking on Ebay for it since that’s how I got my other Guile tee.
Played arcade mode with Akuma last night. Made it to Ryu rival fight. Middle of round he uppercuts me and Akuma screams, “GIVE UP YOUR HUMANITYYY!”

Nice to know I’m not the only person that is having trouble with T.Hawk, He’s really a beast now. But my biggest issue right now is finding out if Adon has any real combos that he can run, He’s MAD fun to play, but I don’t now ANYTHING that links to real damage, (Except Rising Jaguar-fc-Jaguar Avalance) But that don’t save me very often.
