I think the way we were going to do this is basically, if you lose, you can’t challenge anymore that week. So say #7 challenges #6 and wins… Then he decides to challenge #5 and loses… He’s done challenging that week, however, someone could come up from a lower rank and challenge for his spot, in which case he will have to defend…
The point is if you lose a challenge, you can’t challenge again that same week. But you will more than likely have to defend at least ONCE.
so when is the 10th place person supposed to sleep? i have an idea. i’m gonna pay a bunch of homeless people $.50 each to challenge rukus to a whole bunch of FT5 just to tire him out, then after he’s played for like 5 straight hours i swoop in at the end and take him out.

Well that’s why, for right now at least, that ranked matches are only going to take place at Fight Night… so technically you can only get so many challenges in per week… But like I said this is just temporary at the moment…
I’m not sure we are doing our rules EXACTLY the same, but I am probably going to have to have all the matches done here at Game Galaxy since it is a central meeting place…we may start having a “fight” night as well on Thursdays so people can get accustomed to these completely separate from tourney.
Shawn, I don’t mind you and Richard doing first to 3s on Saturday as long as they are 2/3 rounds each game like normal tournaments, though it’s going to be tough to get everyone finished after the initial tournament Saturday.

I kind of figured that was going to happen. I was to into BlazBlue at the time and did not try my new and improve Fei Long this week or played seriously last week. Sorry BlazBlue was just the shiny piece of thingy that I had to fly to. Like i said , itll be fun fighting up the ranks/tourneys later. 8)
My 2 cents is that we can work on the honor system. I don’t know a single player in our scene that wouldn’t be trustworthy.

Lol seriously though, you’re not gonna need to learn Tekken just to play SF v T. It’s designed by “this-gen” Capcom. Meaning easymode shortcuts and all. If it was 3D, every move would track like hell but there’d also be auto SS and supercharger would manually fill meter to unleash a devastating NATURAL COMBO!

Because it’s a Game Galaxy Ranbat and we need it done in a public place for now, those are the rules but they are subject to change.
The biggest problem is the #10 spot is going to have to be IMMEDIATELY challenged almost by 923828398 people, so it makes sense to have it all here for at least the first week, then after that we can deal with alternate areas…

I’ve been asked twice now about BlazBlue ranbats. I’d run them, even though we have less than ten players right now, but I don’t know where I’ll be in six months. If I get into grad school and have to move to a different part of the country, then them’s the digs.
So are casuals matches still happening on Ranbat nights?

don’t start the ranbats until after this week pleeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaassssssssssse. that is when i will my (doubtfully) triumphant return.
SunStone and I played BlazBlue casuals a few weeks back and I quickly determined that it isn’t for me. I was using some squirrel/chick hybrid and I was mashing on those buttons (sorta like I do in SSF4).
Casuals will still be going on each fight night for sure. Not all the matches will be ranking.

Yeah, we will definitely still have casuals on ranbat nights. Ideally, I’d like to have about 4 setups running Super, 2 ranbats and 2 for casuals.
Think of it this way, on ranbat nights, you will usually be playing probably 30% ranbat games and the rest casuals out of your total game time. The only reason it’s been “rankingrankingranking” these past few weeks was to get the ranks out of the way. Now that that is done, we’ll be going back to casuals, with casuals plus ranbats every other week.
