And speaking of finally…at 3 in the morning, I have finally succeeded in reformatting my hard drive and reinstalling windows. Yay! I’m not a complete moron! And yay I’m 8th!
God I need some sleep.

The important part is that I’m not last.
(nevermind the fact that I didn’t compete, and don’t even play Super anymore… that’s beside the point. :P)
Moving on, Cylus showed me Flower Warfare last weekend and I loved it. I was really pleased to find out that he’s not only done more videos, but that he just completed a . It’s pretty bad-ass (and they even do the trick with the quarter and finger against the trigger :p).
Oh, also watch . It’s really funny.
Also didn’t play:
GDbell
Wootstick
Flymike
Sunstone
Mattwoo
Duckie
There are others but Im not sure what their names are. Wow. I didn’t even make top 10. Ha!
–kodee’, think im ready to learn tekken, the crossover sparks interest…
–Ill be in Memphis in 3 weeks…
Ill be there…tell him no frowning…
GGs to everyone last night like Squab said finally done with the general rankings. Now come the challenges.
Ruckus: Hahahahahahaha you got 10th you better challenge Squab next week asap and win or i’m gonna laugh as you spend the whole night trying not to loose your spot. Screw you I dont cheat. =P
Oh My God so hype for Saturday.
First off big ups to the guys running the ranbats, mainly Sev, Squab and Lycan. Glad we finally got this thing going.
Also, super late thanks on this but thanks to Sev for hosting last Saturday and Squab for recording. I’ll planning to host this Saturday night at my place but it’s like 75/25. I’ll let you guys know for certain this evening.
Got my internet back on FINALLY so please add me my Live tag and get some practice sessions in. I’ll be purchasing BB soon and hopefully Tekken.
I’m not at all satisifed with 3rd place. I am so fucking tired of execution mistakes. It’s not me doing something new but every other pad I touch seems cursed and so I’ll likely be switching to stick for good soon cause I can’t be losing because of stupid stuff like that (example: imagine you are trying to do Bison scissor kicks but the pad is all funky so you keep doing stomps resulting in heavy damage for the opponent; I scream in my head everytime that happens) . For now though I’ll be using pad for ranking until I can get used to it. I feel like I can play much better than this.
Again, if I host this Saturday night you guys will know really really soon. Gotta run.
so how does the challenging work? what if 10 people all want to challenge for 10th? and what if the 10th person wants to challenge for 9th but a million people are challenging HIM first? he has to play all them and beat them all before he can try to move up or what?
hiryu, who you using now? hawk? rufus? abel?
Oh also, I forgot to mention this…
Within in the next few weeks we will start a RANBAT season at Fight Night. The season will be 12 weeks long (6 sessions; 1 session every other week). Each session will be a Double Elimination Tournament [Evo Style]. Standings will be kept and at the end of the season, whatever the current ranks are at that time, we will shift the ranks around according to those standings.
One thing I’m going to need as a vote from you guys: Should the Top 10 ranked players get “seeds” similar to NCAA Tournament in the RANBAT Season Tournaments or do we want it ALL to be random draw? Some people might say that it’s not fair to give seeds because they aren’t ranked. However, my thoughts personally are to give seeds since ANYONE can become ranked by challenging and working their way up. But that’s my two cents. What do you guys think?
EDIT: @eraser: Basically, a ranked (or higher ranked) player gets the say first on if he wants to challenge someone. So for example, say 9th wants to challenge for 8th, and 10th wants to challenge for 9th… Since 9th outranks 10th, 9th will get to play 8th before 10th gets to play 9th. Same thing works for 10th. If 10th wants to challenge 9th, then the unranked players have to wait till that match is over. Of course if you look at the alternative and go bottom up, then its completely different and 10th will never get a chance to challenge 9th. As for 10th having a million people to play, yes, you basically have to get in a queue line, which we are going to have to have set somewhere, because I already know there is going to be 10+ people wanting to challenge 10th place CONSTANTLY.
Would it be possible to see the overall records of the regulars that show up?
Seeing Boston Joe’s name was a pleasant surprise. I hope we get to see him out more in the future.
I’m excited about this coming Wednesday. Well…not really. Not much is better than being drunk on the beach all day.
Who’s considered “regular” (who all do you want to see the record for)?
Sorry I couldn’t make it to last night’s Fight Night (family from LA came into town) but I got a question - if I beat the 10th ranked person do I automatically move into 10th place or do I recieve X amount of points for the win?
You will automatically move to 10th. Then you will have to defend until next week when you can challenge 9th and then move up if you win.
If you successfully win you can’t challenge the next person immediately?
Words cannot describe this.
Warning: Kind of loud.
In all honesty, after EVO, I decided that I’m going back to maining Abel. Yeah, it’s anticlimactic, but I felt that he’s my most “mature” character. I am subbing Honda, mostly as a change of pace alternate. And I broke out Hawk again, last night for the first time in a while, so go figure, heh.
No you can only make one challenge per week. Though the 10th place person may have to defend many challenges in a given week.
Squabb: Correct me if necessary please.
cylus you just made my birthday with that video lmao
I think that BLOWS. I think that a winner should be able to move their way up. Otherwise it’d literally take almost 3 months for a person who was unable to attend the initial rankings to work their way up to 1st place with an undefeated win record.
