Hell yeah man, it was worth the drive to actually play in person with people and not online. The drive from Lawrenceburg wasn’t as bad as I expected, I’ll try and make it up there at least once a month from now on.
Con foundit! Man that game is too fun. Though I only really see the hardcores (which so far is pat and myself, lol) putting money into it. But shit we drop like a dollar a session into that thing minimum…it’s a great diversion when taking a quick break from SF. Need to get on it once I get back.

It was great to have you guys come out yesterday and play and yeah, you guys should seriously start coming out more and meeting the local scene. Our upcoming tournament is on the 14th and it will start at Noon sharp. Look forward to seeing you guys then.
Quick Edit: Next time you decide to come out and play in the future, post your plans in here in advance, then some of the guys could maybe head up here if they are free that day. That way you’ll have more people to play

Jason - 3s would do amazing in the japanese cab ST was in. Do it. The only reason most of us didn’t play it much was the american sticks.
I’m outspoken in saying that 3s was good on the American equipment, but it’s not my arcade. Now I’m about to contradict my last statement and suggest that MvC2 should go in the old 3s cab.

Thanks. I have to agree, I believe 3S and ST just both play better on American hardware in my opinion. Can’t really pinpoint why though. It just feels good man.
Ya, I gotta say with the less frames in those games ST definitely functions better…3s functions very well on US sticks because of the same stuff but charge partitioning is a little better on Japanese sticks. You have way more leeway because of the delay of certain things like cancelling Ken/Chun supers with the American sticks and even the “top players in the country” here in 3s all used American Sticks (Family Fun/Einstein’s/Chinatown Fair)
I honestly do not think that game is going to see THAT much of an increase from players…We will place it in a Japanese cabinet soon but a lot of people still forget moves are much harder to do in ST/3s because of everyone here doing shortcuts…
I remember when I saw Josh and Richard try to do uppercuts in ST on the Sanwas and they are using the shortcut and that doesn’t work in the older games…Makes me really wonder about what everyone is doing when they play SF4, lol…none of that stuff works in the older games, and no one can blame the Sanwas, the ones on ST are brand new and the same stuff as TEs, plus no complaints from the ST tournament crowd…

I try not to use shortcuts in 4, plus I play Urien. I play that game on sanwas and its the only way I can do any of the combos for urien correctly, or get a super at all. I really hope the online versions make 3s much more popular ( it will), enough to have more than 8 people to a tournament when there is like 250 for 4.
