Yup. I’m pretty set on not playing for a while. I’ll eventually be back though. I was fine after the tournament, but something just didn’t click anymore when I was playing today. I need to focus on work, the upcoming semester, and a bunch of financial stuff that is really stressing me out.

GG players are pretty much split between these 2 games since BB:CS fixed alotta shit wrong Calamity Trigger apparently. But I’m not soiling my hands with it. MBAA just seems to have more depth, balance, and hype than BB. My imo. And they call it “Marvel’s Little Sister” for a reason. Been talking to some guys about starting a MBAA scene here. I’ve blindly bashed that game as a gothic hentai fest for so long while I listened to it’s god tier music. I’ve just recently seen the light and begun to fuck with it seriously. While GG is on life support, I’m playing this cold ass game.
Bishop is TN’s BB player. Now that Bang’s top tier, it should be a massacre. The Astaroth guy too, who uses Nu/Tager. I dunno where exactly he stays but he should come out once BB:CS tournies start. Rell still won tourneys in CT. He may play CS. Marcus is pretty good except for he forgets that Ragna isn’t Sol.
All these games will be at A.R.K. 2 tourney Saturday. After that, I really plan on taking my exile. Jan, you have SF4 on PC. You won’t last…

I would seriously love that. I’ve played the game a few times and really like it, but never bothered picking it up because I never thought it’d take off here or in Memphis due to the weird things you have to do to be able to play it.

Ok so a lot of you guys were trying to convince me to do MWC again next year.
I have some good news and good news or good news and bad news depending on how you feel about it.
Good news: even though I felt physically drained from this SBO tournament (you guys now see it’s crazy trying to run 5-6 tournaments in X amount of time now speedily) I’ve decided I will be back for a MWC 2011. Mainly because I think this will coincide with the MVC3 release and I want to capitalize on the crazy amounts of players looking for a tournament.
Good or bad news: I’m running MWC 2011 in Nashville in the Hickory Hollow Mall. I know some of you wanted to do a road trip to Chicago, but there is a lot more prep involved in Chicago. Keits is still planning on doing an event next year but it will not be at the same time as MWC which is tentatively scheduled EARLIER than LATER (May/June 2011) because of new Summer tournaments that have taken place around my OLD dates in late June that I am still not too pleased about. Now at least you’ll have a major locally, but it’s going to be crazy and nuts all at the same time, but that venue for SBO is just too good NOT to use again…
With that all said, stay tuned for dates, announcements, games, and so on. I’m going to need a staff of 2-4 for the 1-2 days we will be doing this (I used to have 3 days for MWC when it was a big tournament but now we can get away with 1-2).
Gdbell: You’re putting yourself in a hole. You haven’t even been to a GG tournament nor have you beaten anyone at all. I can’t tell if you are just trying to keep up with sarcasm or if you truly think you can beat Arson…
Duckie: Haha. This one’s not on me. I’m gonna place the responsibility of TN MBAA ambassador on the shoulders of Lil Melvin aka Azure Phoenix. Bishop plays, Jay, a few others. Our whole throwback GG scene could possibly convert maybe if they want to. Hell, all it takes is a couple matches. If you got any sense of rushdown, technicality, creativity, or semi-decent execution in your blood, you’re hooked. But it’s not like the game doesn’t get played or represented. Shit was at Evo, and other tournies. So I’m not worried if only like 3 of us here play. There’s a scene. Won’t be like trying to be a dedicated VF player lol.
My, my. I don’t need this crunk shit if I’m slowly trying to step away. But it’s so tempting to like rep Tek/MB and hit up random tournies once in a while. We’ll see.
Blinky: Ha, beyond the surface dude is a monster and can open the gates of hell. Though fun, it’s actually a good thing PJ wasn’t played competitively for any length of time. It would not be enjoyable anymore.
Gabe: Yea, it is kinda complex. I like to be able to have a brain when I play my fgs. And it’s not so much so that anyone can’t get into it. That’s why this version has diff grooves/styles for each character. You’re able to play how you want essentially. And it’s balanced while allowing this. Balance in a game is so sweet.
Don’t compare BB to GG. I don’t really care to get into the specifics with you if you haven’t played either game, but just trust, GG is a better game. Even if you like BB, it’s no contest.
Please, do not play Andrew. Or Graham. At the very least, call out people you actually KNOW. Or better yet, not at all. What’d I say to you before man? Lol geez…
