Guys for the last Fight Night before MWC:
Channel 5 News will be coming and doing interviews from some of the guys at the arcade so please if you are interested, talk us up, talk up Antioch and us staying there and so and so but that will be next TUESDAY, the last Fight Night before MWC.
I’ll be doing a final call on systems and decide if the tournament is going to be in the arcade or Man of Fashion BY Fight Night. Looking like Man of Fashion at this rate.

I would basically describe Dragon’s Dogma as: Dark Souls visuals, Devil May Cry battle action, and Dragon Age story. It’s a fun little game, I do sort of wish though at least once in awhile one of the town npc’s would go “HEY SHITBIRD, I KNOW YOU RUNNING AROUND ALL BLIND AND SHIT AND CAN’T FIGURE THE GAME OUT, BUT WHO CARES? GO KILL A THING, PICK A FLOWER, COMBINE THAT FLOWER WITH A CAR TO CREATE AN AIRPLANE AND GO DO STUFF”
Most of the time though, it’s limited to one liners, such as “my lord, I think we should go that way” or “Good sir, my butthole itches, privy thou scratch it?”
Dunno, can’t really pass judgement on it until I get more into it, but I have about 15 hours invested and so far, I’ve done like 10 quests and spent most of my time lost in the wilderness and fighting goblins, rogues, lizard guys, dragons, chimaeras or however the fuck you spell it, and picking flowers only because I can’t find anything to do. So basically Skyrim but less quests and 3rd person.
Also, the pawn system is cool and all, but you can break the game using the right setup. Not 20 minutes into the game, I had a friends lvl 44 Mage and another friends lvl 39 warrior, and we were just wrecking shit. Took down my first chimera at lvl 7.
So MLG is taking Kang out of its lineup since MK and SCV is getting more entrants (read:money) Doesn’t really seem like they know what they’re doing with fighting games in the first place to be honest…
That sounds like Monster Hunter to a T. Get your kitten sidekicks the right setup and your kitten chefs to cook you the right stuff and you can dominate ANYTHING.
The economy makes a lot more sense over in Hardcore, because items are consumables (ppl are losing them them when they die) thus you get the flow of supply and demand, and also because there is no RMAH.
No, I put this thing together. From what Trung said in the FB group it seems like they are still doing their own thing.
This starts at 7 but the barcade is open till 3am. Were welcome to stay there until it closes if we want and we can have late night barfights. I’m hoping to have this branch out so we can have two weeklies at this place including a 2$ dolla Tuesday tournament where we switch the game every week and a casuals day. Maybe I can swing them doing street fighter related drink specials during a set time while we’re there playing. Bison Brews? Ken Masters Draft? Red Cyclone Pale Ale?
Along with that I’m in talks of establishing a bi-weekly gathering and a monthly ranbat if we get enough people to start coming out. So spread the word.
KoF was their best shot at wooing the fighting game community without having Capcom games involved.
I think what should happen if people want something for fighting games like MLG has for their games is for EVO to become it’s own league and become even more involved in the already established grass roots regional tournaments, beyond having them just be qualifiers. That could probably only happen with some major corporate sponsors though, and take a few years to get fully organized.
