I noticed that solidxpanda gets like, top players and shit on his casuals streams. Dude is followed by Shadowloo and Boss Logic on twitter and gets RTs and shit from them. I need to talk to him and see how he got all that set up. I have a few top player and FGC contacts, and Jason has a ton. There’s gotta be a way to use that to network and get more exposure for TN.

Lol it’s not enough interest here in it I would think. But if dudes hop on board it could definitely happen. I’d need to check and see how past Tony Hawk local tourneys and the SSX 3 and OT online tournaments were done.There’d prob be no head to head, as in splitscreen. You’d likely run Scoreboard/Speed Run style depending on whether you’re doing trick runs or time trials. Or just simple race style, though it’s not the most conventional for competition. I’ll ask around and see if some dudes I know can retrieve some old footage and brackets from past events like this. You’d def have to look at some more factors with this new SSX on account of the “Survive It” mechanics that some people would liken to having items on in Smash or something. I don’t know yet though, but it’d be something cool to consider.
Don’t get too happy. It’s only DJ style and they’re debating whether to allow a standard model with DJ moveset in tourneys. It should be noted though that developers have already stated that they took care that the style wasn’t “broken”, but that they will not create a whole new character with DJ moveset just so he can be in tourneys. I mean, it’s a whole new bother for TOs to make sure someone creates a DJ chara on every setup and he’s within parameters. Hell, existing unlockable and DLC charas aren’t even on systems for certain games, so you can imagine this would be a new kind of hell to deal with.
I messed with him a bit. He has combos, but most of his really hot shit requires drive and meter. I think he’s more poke and footsie based and he has strong enough normals. Like st. A is good and connects into St. B which is good enough ranged poke on it’s own. But anytime you land a St.B or series of cr.Bs you want to go directly into FF+A and from there whatever ender depending on meter/drive/where you are/or if opponent is in air(from naked FF+A). You prob wanna build your offense around getting in some kind of way and connecting this move. This move can also get you in too and is relatively safe on block because of the mixup it gives him. But play a basic style too. Dont forget about flash kicks and instant overhead A into wheel kick or stomps. Kim is nasty in corner. He has a few gimmicks but in the long run he has to put in work and you’ll have to execute. No real multi-hitting confirms outside of specials or far D that’s kind of a tight link into St. B. But you can use his standing overhead as an easy enough confirm into HD. But besides HD bypassing I don’t know if it allows a combo.
Well that sucks though I get why it would be hard to create a specific DJ char on ever set for a tourney. Still I was just excited because maybe there were other tekken souls in there. The thought of FLA canceling into halberd juggles in a SC game made me very happy. Even then I knew it would be a stretch oh well.

I totally agree with you Sev. Capcom has managed to kill any sort of hype that I could’ve possibly had for that game. Capcom obviously is doing what they want to do without looking out for the best interest of their costumers. It’s 2012 and they’re putting the bad MM1 box art Mega Man that most of the kids of this generation that will buy this game don’t know or even care to know about. It’s an obvious troll to the MM fans that want MM in another VS game. Capcom is just being a dick now. That shit isn’t cool or funny.
