sadly its the worst kind of shitty… the shitty that just barely keeps you interested in finishing the series, only to realize in the end what an unfulfilling effort it was
Series even ruined a marriage in the process.
I’ve heard that the final end to the show is god awful, but people seemed to pump it up until that point. I guess I’ll find out for myself. It’ll be like playing a first person shooter…with television. And no idea of what the fuck I’m doing.

Ah, once again I must jump to the defense of something here, though I don’t typically do this with shows/movies…
THE STRAIN
That scene with “Brenda from 227” also shows she’s a self-serving asshole. a) It’s understandable that she was initially shocked by the scene, and (b) she just wants to take care of herself (she said something like “I don’t want to have anything to do with this.” as opposed to calling the cops right away…calling the police would be risking involvement in a grisly murder scene…and really, most people probably don’t want to be a hero and have probably looked the other way or ran from a lot of “situations”, pretending “nah, I didn’t see that.” 
something comes to mind for me just now…)—I think a lot of people would initially have that “deer-in-headlights” moment of shock, thinking "…**.HOLY SHIT WHAT THE FUCK AM I SEEING HERE?!***" before rational thought comes back and they run away. It’s a visual that is surreal and just kind of hit her out of nowhere.
*sidenote–her breaking her ankle on the way out was hilarious. It was also funny when the nanny slowly backed away once she noticed Lawyer Vamp Mom’s eyes did the “sideways blink” thing…in the very next shot she was packing up her stuff. …like "I’m not sure what’s wrong with her but it might be contagious so I’m getting the hell out of here right NOW." It’s surprising that she was at least noble/kind enough to try and save the kids… I’m the asshole that probably would’ve left the kids and saved myself.
*Out of defense mode though— I’m still loving it. It appears the sewer-vamps…(the “Morlocks”) are a lower rank of the species…they are wild and unrestrained, and probably easily killed…the “trash mobs”, so to speak. The “survivors” are probably the next tier up on the ladder and would retain some varying measures of intelligence, assuming they aren’t hunted down and killed before their transition process is complete.
ah, there is a Brandi and Jarrod show now on A&E, focusing on the couple from Storage Wars… yep, I’m just watching to check Brandi out. Oh yeah she just came back from working out now…all sweaty with the tight leggins on… niiiice…
there is no point of watching after trinity. lets just leave it at that.
Top Chef Duels
Really liking the format; 2 challenge rounds in which the duelists try to best their competitor with challenges of their design, besides the overall duel (H2H) challenge.
I’m hoping to see more interesting stuff as the season progresses. I did like that Blais bested Marcel at some culinary gastronomy-themed challenge (hot and cold stuffs), though was surprised to see Marcel get the better of Blais in the burger challenge.
In the end, the Top Chef winner, won the important match; a three-course meal that was meant to highlight a ‘sense’ during dining.
I’m thinking that the main duel will continue to be themed as the season goes on.
The preview stuffs for later duels/show was intriguing, if only for the brief highlights between later dueling pairs.
The Pressure Test with the prawns 3-ways, you mean?
IMO, the Pressure Test - Egg Challenge from S3 (6 eggs for 4 dishes in 20 min; three egg omelet, one sunny-side up, one poached, one soft boiled), was probably the most interesting multi-prep challenge I’ve seen on the show.
If you saw the preview for next week, it looks like the losers will be doing an egg related pressure test again.

Wilfred came to an end this week, I wasn’t so bothered about this season but it was a good way to end the series.
Rectify finally next week, the shit is about to hit the fan.

Top Chef Duels - S1 E2
Brooke vs Shirley was a really good episode, especially with the ‘challenge’ rounds.
Like, Shirley’s ‘challenge’ for Brooke was nice, but when Brooke announced her ‘challenge’ for Shirley, I was like, "Oh, wow. It’s like that, huh?"
Decision was kinda difficult cause you kinda want both to do well (win), especially if you followed them on their respective seasons.
Things will probably build up with the Nyesha vs Jennifer duel later on, and conclude with the Stephanie vs Kristen duel, later still.
Still waiting on a chef to win the ‘trifecta’ in their duel episode (both chef challenges and duel).
Interesting thing of note in regards to the ‘Burger Challenge’ (Blais) last week,
Blais made a comment of the judging being decided by an Austrian (Wolfgang), an Australian, (Curtis), and a Canadian (Gail)… All of which are non-American.
Needed Tom Colicchio or someone else on the panel to balance things out with a USA POV, lol.
