It’s okay, it’s a bit like The Walking Dead in terms of making hard decisions and questionable/dark characters. However it doesn’t quite go ‘there’, and there’s no real standout personalities to latch onto right now.
It’s decent television, but nothing stellar about it. Moments of incompetence shows through occasionally, but nothing to loose your shit over. I guess all I’m saying at this point is it could get better or worse as things continue, but it constantly stays in the middle.
man, the mindy project is so funny. im blasting through the first season right now. almost done. im glad i randomly came across this while looking up mindy kaling pics. lool
The Newsroom is finally starting to get some focus for season 2, getting into the season long story arc of the Genoa project, a report the in-show team does about a military rescue operation in which the US Military supposedly uses Sarin gas on civilians. This Sunday is gonna be the shit goes down episode, with the new producer who’s behind the story falsifying an interview to get the segment to air. Last episode was pretty good, the Genoa team lays out the details for Jim, Don and Sloane and they can’t believe what they’re hearing.
2nd Season’s had a bit of a rambling nature, and Sorkin’s dialogue is still a bit too staged at times with the rapid fire, instant perfect responses, but still hard not to enjoy once the banter gets going. Jeff Daniels and Emily Mortimer have been pretty good.
don’t fall into the trap of comparing Sorkin’s dialogue against real world banter. he’s “on a mission to civilize,” and since most people don’t go to their theater to see plays if they don’t have to, he’s bringing them to television
I like ABC Family for keeping some decent shows running through the summer months. Melissa and Joey and Baby Daddy are surprisingly funny, made-for-your-woman sitcoms. I watch one of their drama shows with my wife too.
American Ninja Warrior and America’s Got Talent helped pass some evenings, too. I actually like a lot of summer TV, and it’s okay if you have to miss an episode of something to be at a cookout or whatever.
I’d never wish summer away, but I am hype for my shows to come back. The Middle and The Neighbors are my sitcoms this fall. Supernatural is always the most important thing on, and Vampire Diaries decided to stop sucking sometime before last season.
Yeah, I watched the episode.
Kinda surprised that there were two new episodes, instead of a repeat and a new episode.
I was busy watching Top Chef Masters during the first hour of MasterChef episodes, lol.
@Shaft Agent
Michelle Ryan made another appearance on this past Tuesday night’s episode of Covert Affairs.
Even though I’m happy she’s the first Indian to be the star of her own sitcom in US…
no I wouldn’t hit it.
I watched the House of Cards . Loved it. I didnt know it was based off a British series.
I started Orange is the new Black. Seems interesting.
Laura Prepon, Kate Mulgrew’s characters are very different than their classic roles which is interesting.
Jason Biggs and Natasha Lyonne feel like their American Pie characters lol…
anyone watch the fall on netflix? it’s got dana scully in it as a promiscuous irish detective with a horrible accent…um yeah first episode was meh but we’ll see.
Yes. Two dresses, actually (one, full-length. one, pencil-skirt).
The ‘assets’ that you covet, were in view for a few select scenes, mostly in the latter half of the episode.
You should be quite pleased, lol.
Okay, the Continuum season finale was interesting. Got some decent answers, great fight scene, the plot was moved forward, and new questions popped-up.
Overall it was a good season, not great but definitely enjoyable. I look forward to what the writers come-up with for next season.
I second that, great show with some strong acting.
