Television General Discussion

Graceland is getting good with the swerve with Briggs

I think I’m gonna start Outlaw Star: The Live Action Series aka Firefly tonight. I always saw bits an pieces a few years back but I’ll watch it straight including Serenity.

it’s solid. good combo of humor and sci fi action.

Solid? All the browncoats have me expecting visual ambrosia. Solid isn’t gonna cut my stone lol.

Orange is the new Black is really good. I was quite surprised how well they set it up.

I’ve really enjoyed US House of Cards, I’ve binged through it over the past 7 days, gonna watch final ep tonight.

Spoiler

It was clear from the beginning that nobody has any admirable qualities, but after Russo’s death I say fuck the lot of them, they can all go to hell

[spoiler=] Did you care about Russo that much?[/details]

Mob City…a TNT limited(?) series.

This looks good…and was that Simon Pegg?

One day we might just see Simon Pegg in Expendables lol.

Like a said, there isn’t anybody in the show with redeeming qualities, he was the only person trying to do right by the people, so yeh.

I liked watching Francis and Claire together. Talk about too people meant for each other for all the wrong reasons…

Top Chef Masters
Chef Sang stay racking in the money for his charity… but has been in the ā€˜bottom three’ twice now for the Masters’ Quickfire Challenges, due to his Sous-Chef doing poorly in their challenges. It is kinda interesting to see how the disadvantages affect the Master in the dual-competition.

There was a Lindsay Price sighting on tonight’s episode… and she is apparently engaged to Curtis Stone, the host.

Also, the new season of Top Chef (New Orleans) premieres in October.

MasterChef
Bri is hella lucky she came back when she did cause from now until the finals, everyone that gets eliminated won’t likely have the opportunity to come back.

Tonight’s episode though… ugh.

Spoiler

I though Luca had the Mystery Box Challenge won, since he did a dual-preparation of the steak, which I thought was creative.

Damn it, only two ā€œJ’sā€ left in the competition…

Cutthroat Kitchen - Food Network
This show is kinda like a mix between having the ā€˜advantage’ from a Mystery Box Challenge on MasterChef and Chopped.
From what I watched, each contestant has a large amount of money that they can use to bid on ā€˜sabotage’ stuffs to use against a competitor to hamper them during rounds of cooking. If you make it through to the end, you get to keep the money that you don’t spend.

Examples of ā€˜sabotage’ include substitution (a poor quality ingredient in place of a preferred one of a similar type; like bread crusts or making your own bread from scratch instead of having ready-made bread) or subtraction (loss of untensils).
Bidding is pretty high, in the thousands, for the chance to screw over one of the competition.

It would be pretty funny to see in one episode if none of the chefs decide to screw over anyone and just cook straight up and head-to-head, just to keep all of their money, for a chance to win it all in the end. Alton Brown would be like, ā€œWhat?ā€

lmao Joe Rogan Questions Everything is damn entertaining, all the conspiracy theorists are pretty toned down and harmless, unlike the ones Louis Theroux would interview back in the day

Bad news: Laura prepon won’t be back as a regular on orange is the new black next year :frowning:

Watched that Low Winter Sun on AMC, doesn’t give you much to go on in the pilot, but the setup is 2 sort of corrupt cops killing a more corrupt cop to start things off. Mark Strong is lead character, might turn out decent as they reveal more about…everything. One those here’s the main event. now you’ll see how everything got there kind of show

Graceland

Spoiler

episode recap:

  • The key man/ā€œJanglesā€ makes an appearance, does work on Bello’s crew and confronts Bello, stabs Mike, and is somewhat friendly with Charlie in regards to taking down Odin Rossi.
  • A recovering Mike tells Paige about why he’s at Graceland, besides not being too happy with Juan’s antics.
  • Briggs is still playing various angles and has confronted a fake ā€œJanglesā€ (Juan) and shot him.

What is/was Juan up to?
Also, that part about there being another house before Graceland, which ended in tragedy, was kinda interesting stuff.

3 episodes left until season finale.

Burn Notice has 3 episodes until it’s series finale.

@Million
It appears that Stacy Keibler has a hosting gig on a new Lifetime show called Supermarket Superstar.

Really enjoying Graceland right now. More serinda swan though please.

When he told her what he was really doing in Graceland then she rejected him, I was like ā€œNooo, don’t go Serinda Swaaaan!ā€ But yeah, sucks to be Mike right now.

But I really like liked her in Smallville and Breakout Kings, an attractive but capable actress imo.

lol@ this newsroom episode talking about the movie john carter…leave my movie alone.

Under the Dome opinions?

its…shitty
