Television General Discussion

First episode of Ray Donovan free to watch on Youtube (US only)

Nickelodeon is just trying to make up for passing up adventure time and missing out on itā€™s success.

aiight so the 1st ep of Under the Dome is pretty good. I have faith in Brian K Vaughan. check it out!

I didnā€™t know Richard Matheson passed away Monday.

AMERICAN NINJA WARRIOR!

Hannibal Season 1 in a nutshellā€¦

On the plan to Spain I watched the first 3 episodes of The Following, and although itā€™s very entertaining and a brilliant premise, it looks like it can get ridiculous and snap my mental suspended disbelief wire fast.

Awake is one of the best shows Iā€™ve seen in a long time, itā€™s one of those shows that is so well executed and thought out from start to finish it shames 98% of all other shows just by existing. And the ending was genius IMO. Too bad it got axed after season 1.

Amante on #capcom recommended the show Rectify since I loved Awake so much, Iā€™ll have to check it out.

the following got very stupid very quickly. rectify is ok. itā€™s very slow though.

The Following was made by the guy who wrote the Scream movies, and from beginning to end it shows. The bad guys are way too smart, too organized, and manage to pull off some ridiculous feats of bat-shittiness. The good guys are selectively stupid, way too emotionally compromised, and only succeed when the plot demands it.

As a matter of fact, it pretty much boils down to that (plot demands). The simple idea of the ā€œeveryone sticking together!ā€ horror movie trope is used too often. The bad guys step on each otherā€™s toes but not half as much as the good guys, and they rarely pay for it last few episodes withstanding. The antagonist is Aizen bad, you canā€™t believe one person thought up all of this craziness and manage to carry even half of it out. And donā€™t even get me started on the season finale.

Watch at your peril, itā€™s dumb entertainment that may turn you off faster than youā€™d expect. Itā€™s an interesting train wreck of a show to say the least.

Can we have a chat for American Ninja Warrior tomorrow? I donā€™t care if Iā€™m the only one that shows upā€¦itā€™s needed.

Has anyone here watched the first couple seasons of Southland. Recently watched the latest season, and thought the show was good. I heard though, that this season was the best, so I was wondering if it was worth it to go back.

Just watched The Following episode 6. This show and especially this episode specifically is the perfect litmus test for how much a viewer is willing to endure for entertainmentā€¦

Sums up exactly how anyone who finished highschool should feel.

Thank god suits is coming back

High five to that.

Iā€™ve been in Suits withdrawal. Someone needs to kick Jessicaā€™s ass.

And I need to gaze upon Meghan Markleā€™sā€¦
