The first couple seasons of dexter are really good with the exception of the jimmy smits season which is just ok. It peaks with lithgow season and then declines from there.
I highly recommend the shield if you havent watched that yet.
Iām at season 2 right now. Dexter is a good show but itās not as great to me in comparison to the 3 shows i mentioned (Supernatural, Walking dead, Game of thronesā¦) when i just got into them. What iām disliking a bit from Dexter is the flashbacksā¦ i know they are significant but there is just one too many that wastes too much time for me.
There arenāt characters that i donāt hate yet. The show is just good but there hasnāt been too much yet that has gotten me at āholy shit modeā yet.

This kind of shit will forever seem silly to meā¦ when an all-powerful, nearly indestructible vampire is all sad because they canāt be a normal humanā¦get the hell out of here with that. Oh waaah Iām one of the most powerful beings in the worldā¦such a tough break there. Even amongst the vamps of the show, 'becca is in the top tier elite since she is one of the āoriginal familyā.

So iām at S3 right now of Dexter. I completely hated his ass during season 2 and season 3 is just alrightā¦ i donāt know. Itās ranked high in allot of peoples list and itās a great show indeed but this is the only show were i got some serious distaste for the protagonist and iām honestly getting bored with S3 that iām getting lazy finishā¦
Iāll likely try Nikita out since my friends raves about it.
lithgow season is season 4. at least get through that. i promise itās worth it.
^Truth. Dexter has its up and down but S4 definitely brings it back with full force. Iām patiently waiting for the new season to appear in Netflix.
Currently on S4 of Star Trek: NG. Itās the best season so far imo; digging the episodes that follows up from previous seasons( i.e. La Forge mackinā on the real warp drive designer, Dataās dead gf-sister and meeting his creator etc).
iām watching ārectifyā on sundance channel after reading some pretty big hype about it ābest new show of 2013ā among others. itās about a guy who gets out of prison after 19 years for a rape/murder after dna evidence says the sperm wasnāt his. so he has a family that still loves him and its about him adjusting to life on the outside while dealing with a small town district attorney who is getting pressure from the senator to try him for the crime again. itās only 6 episodes long and i iāve seen 3 of them: the show is pretty good. like i watched the first one, then wanted to watch the second one and nothing blew me away about it but i found myself staying up late to watch the third one right after it. itās pretty slow but itās still pretty interesting.
season 2 of continuum started so i have to watch that. season 1 was pretty good plus itās canadian. rachel nichols looks to have gotten that growth on her eye from season 1 removed.
episode 2 of davinciās demons was pretty cool. cliffhanger revealed a map of a secret land that no oneās ādiscoveredā yet (but someone made a big map of itā¦ [details=Spoiler]SOUTH AMERICA (20 Something years before Columbus!)[/details].
so iām interested in seeing where they go with that. the gatling gun invention was pretty sweet too. it really reminds me of camelot which had some moments but looking back wasnāt very good. i still miss spartacus.
i started watching āblack orphanā on bbc america but iāve only seen 1 episode. iāll post up some thoughts after i see a couple more.

Season 3 is actually very good too imo, the later half that is. I guess i was sort of upset over the loss of the black guy cop (seriously, why are the black guys always taken out?) because i thought his character was cool. I have season 4 already and will go right to it once iām done w/ s3.
aw manā¦ so last night was apparently Stevie Wonder night on Dancing with the Stars! ā¦and The Great One himself was actually there! That dude is a golden god of music, folksā¦ and that fine little new hotness Zendaya was dancing to Do I Do, which is one of the greatest Stevie songsā¦sheeit, itās one of the best songs in popular music history, just generally speakingā¦

Defiance-- Iāve been watching that one (got the game too)ā¦ the mayor is the same woman that was the super-speed wife in āNo Ordinary Familyā. I really hate that show being canceledā¦ itās understandable though since it was off to such a slow start. Oh and this reminds meā¦ besides the woman playing the wife/mother, the daughter on there was quite the cute one. Hopefully she appears elsewhere and becomes famous again. She may have thoughā¦ I havenāt done a search just yetā¦
Yesā¦and YES! Rewatching S1 eps on my tv instead of a crappy laptop made me appreciate the show more. But dat eye mole was hella distracting.
Defianceās pilot was surprisingly decent. 2nd ep not so much. Best part was the hipster son having to hug his half naked mom lol.
The Americans is too good. Sucks that there are only 2 more episodes.
i love the americans. this last episode was sorta slow but i was still on edge the entire time which made me realize how awesome this show is. this and banshee are my 2 favorite new shows this season. banshee for just being badass (being on pay cable probably has a lot to do with it) and the americans for being badass but at the same time a really interesting story and awesome characters (although job from banshee is my favorite overall character on tv right now).
So iām already at Dexter S4 EP8. It is good, you actually get aggravated due to the many opportunities Dexter had in nailing that Trinity guy. That Trinity guy is fucked up however i expect a bit more Joker-ish shit like causing the cops to go crazy and shit. I enjoyed S3 i thought the later half of S3 was awesome.
