Television General Discussion

The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson?

If you mean his theme song that plays at the opening of the show, AFAIK, it doesn’t have a title/name.
If that’s not what you are referring to though, then I dunno, lol.

No, on Louie (the show) he is offered the job to replace Letterman as the host of the Late Show.

Here is the ep, they have different version of the song play during the episode. This one starts off with a piano then turns to a groove track. At the end of the episode the same song plays but it’s an acoustic+trumpet version

Edit: Louis CK won best comedy writer at the Emmys!

“Once Upon A Time” is really good. They put their own twist on the fairy tales and work them into a great connected plot. The acting is amazing as well. If you want something similar, but much darker, check out “Grimm”.

“Revenge” is a guilty pleasure of mine. It’s basically a primetime soap, but at the same time it’s more than that. It doesn’t fall into the cheesy soap opera format and overarching plot keeps things on track w/ action and twists.

“Leverage” is something to watch if you’re just looking for a fun show. The plots often jump the shark and when they do use a lot of special effects (which isn’t often) they appear cheesy. This show shines with it’s characters and their interactions w/ each other. There’s not a better group of characters on television IMO. Watch this if you just wanna zone out to something fun and entertaining.

“Falling Skies” is my favorite sci-fi show right now. It’s sad that their seasons only last like 10-12 episodes, but it has everything it needs for good sci-fi. They keep the stakes high by killing and altering the lives of characters that you’d think would be untouchable. Should be easy to catch up on as well since S2 just ended about a month or so ago.

If you have Hulu, you should definitely check out “Life”. Damian Lewis is just awesome on this show - it’s just too bad it got cancelled after two seasons. I’m almost done w/ S2 and from what I remember, the overarching plot gets resolved, so you’ll have a sense of closure. I would recommend “Alcatraz”, but it was cancelled and left viewers hanging w/ no plot reconciliation.

Of the new shows this season, I haven’t checked out “Revolution” yet, but I’ve been hearing good things. Same w/ “Last Resort”.

Ah, I see.
The Late Show part made me think of Craig Ferguson’s show, which had ended a short while ago.

I looked around for a bit, which led to to this:

It seems that the group has done some work for Louie and is likely to have worked on the original score for the show.

Also, other people online are wondering about the theme that was played, as well.
Hopefully, it gets released as part of a compilation soundtrack, or something, for those who are interested.
It’s a nice theme and the various versions are a nice touch.

Hope that helps.

thanks man this should make it easier to track down

Top Chef: Seattle premieres November 7th.
Wolfgang Puck is a new judge.

Sounds, interesting.

The Challenge: Battle Of The Seasons seems interesting so far, mainly due to the whole ‘team’ dynamic.
lol @ the Rookies thinking they got everything figured out and trying to run the show, and the Vets are the ones who are worried about things this time around.

@Million
I think this scene from the new show Last Resort on ABC should be of some interest to you.
Dunno about the rest of the show though, lol.

Holy shit that’s AUTUMN REESER!!! She’s one of the hottest women to ever appear on prime-time television! She was the lab assistant to the wife/mother on No Ordinary Family, which sadly got canceled about a year ago. It’s so good to see her back on tv again… of course if she’s a regular, I am instantly a fan of this show. There’s nothing about her that I would even consider a flaw… she’s pretty much a 10 out of 10 to me. The girl is legendary.

Goddamn and that guy got PAID for that scene. Most likely, I couldn’t even handle it if she simply put her hand on my chest for a few seconds. SPLOOGE That girl is on this other-worldly level of hotness… it’s not even fair to compare ordinary human women to something of that caliber.

*from the related videos… I didn’t know she was on The O.C. as well… as if that show didn’t already have a lot of hot/cute ass (Legendary MILF “Mindy” Clarke, Mischa Barton, that blonde MILF who was the main character’s mom… and Rachel Bilson who isn’t mega-hot, but she’s decently cute…that show was loaded)!

*Melinda Clarke has been on Nikita lately, btw… well, if her character hasn’t been killed off. I missed most of last season; I’ll get caught up on that later.

lol so close!!

The first two seasons are finally on Netflix streaming. I have to get caught up myself.

Watched Elementary last night - missed the ending, but from I saw it’s worth keeping up with. Doesn’t hurt that there’s a freckled asian co-star I suppose…

Best thing about new shows? Most of the ones I’m interested in are on ABC - which means I can keep up w/ them on Hulu instead of loading up the DVR w/ weeks of back episodes waiting to be watched.

Shit… I remember when she was on The O.C. I haven’t seen it either, but if Reeser is in there, I’m in there!

Person of Interest is back, first episode did not disappoint!

Yeah, that premier was a pretty bad ass ep. I need to rewatch the first season.

New *Grimm *and Fringe tonight. :woot:

Oh Fringe is back?!?! I’ve been suffering from Walter and Dunham withdrawal for too long now.

Heres a clip from Louie, here he tries to fix his daughter christmas present ends up destroying it, then rebuilding it

Watch Last Resort, it is interesting, has potential but who knows how long it can last on it before the premise wears thin, with the obvious mysteries and plot elements. That being said, some decent looking women on their, including Asian looking chick that was on Dollhouse and the second season of Being Human (US version).

i also enjoyed last resort. will try to watch elementary at some point.

Revenge S2 premiere

Spoiler

Did not expect the change-up with the casting of Cary-Hiroyuki Tagawa as Takeda.
I was like, "WTF, Shang Tsung is Takeda now?"
He seems well-suited for the role though.

Dexter season 7 premiere might have been the best premiere for the series and is going to boost ratings substantially.

Edit: oh nvm I see there’s another thread for this.

i also liked Last Resort. the pilot is online. if you haven’t seen it yet, check it out.

I also also liked Last Resort. But I also worry about where it can go. As of now it feels like a solid 6 episode mini series.
