Iāve been enjoying Peaky Blinders. Watched the first few episodes today. It takes a lot for me to be interested in period piece shows/movies as Iāve only liked a handful of them (Legend of the Fall, Tombstone and a couple more).
One thing I noticed is that it takes the UK approach with shorter seasons. Iām coming to like that approach as it allows for better pacing compared to the standard 13 or 23 episode seasons in US, where the narrative clearly is being stretched for the sake of filling the episode order. LOST is a great example as it was originally written to be a four season show, but ABC ordered an extra two seasons when the rating for S1 were going through the roof. Imagine having to stretch that story over 46 extra episodes, not including two hour premieres, finales and special mid-season episodes. That easily bumps it to at least 50 hours of extra content.
I do like how this is being combated with more series taking the anthology approach like AHS and American Crime.

Colony Pilot was pretty decent. USA has really stepped up there production quality. Colony plus Mr.Robot, USA is doing things right.

Watching the documentary Making a Murder on Netflix. Just got done with episode 2 this is so fucked up feels like a movie script.
Just wait, it gets worse. Far worse than you can ever imagine. I couldnāt believe the shit that happened in that, the amount of police misconduct is unbelievable

Shades of Blue has a lot of potential. I wasnāt sure about it b/c Iām not a fan of J-Loās acting, but overall the show seems like it can go somewhere.
The Blacklist was dope as usual. Just give James Spader every TV award for Best Actor. Other characters have gotten more interesting, but this dude takes over every scene heās in - for the better. Ressler is still a tool, he doesnāt piss me off as much as Parkman from Heroes, but heās on the list.
