THE STRAIN– wooooo Ms. Marshaun(?)…NICE new piece of ass on the show that just showed up…it looks like Eldritch Palmer wanted to get something going on there… and he’s gotten to be a bit bold since receiving his “gift” from The Master. This is already giving me what I want right from the jump–flashback scene showing “Master” way back in the day, more of the mysterious “SWAT Vamps”, more of the gorgeous dark-haired girl that Eph bangs occasionally, more Abe being an old badass dude, and more blood-sucking action of course.
whoahhh is that the delicious Meagan Good in Minority Report (coming this fall on FOX)? Well that show just immediately earned a fan then.
ANW update. First City’s Finals course, it’s in Venice. Amount of finishers?
ONE! ONE FUCKING FINISHER. Only 6 people even made it to the second to last obstacle and only 3 even finished that.
Female redemption though. Jessie Graff was one of those 6 by some miracle. Idk how the hell she managed the Double Rumbling Dice.

The way Mason Verge went out was hilarious and ironic considering what he was telling Hannibal what he was gonna do to him at the dinner table. lol
started watching the new season of falling skies, one ep behind. SMH could they get anymore cliched with Pope’s GF. Watched ep 1 of Extant, I’ve decided not to bother with the rest of the season.

ANW update…at least KC City Finals gave 3 Finalists… But if Meagan Martin gets the Wild Card bid over Noah Kaufman, shit will hit the fan. I will call Po on their asses.

On one hand it’ll be a good opportunity for the show to go out strong with a solid number of episodes with no fluff required. Very few shows have had the majority of their episodes be good under a standard a 20 ep. count, and this show is one of those exceptional few who has done that.
OTOH it is always sad to see actors who put so much time and effort into portraying these particular characters have to move on. It’s such an amazing experience that you never wanna let go of, but it wouldn’t be worth it as much if it kept going-on forever. It’s always a bittersweet experience when a television show you enjoy comes to an end, it’s like saying goodbye to a good friend who you’ve known for years.

Watched the rest of Wayward Pines…
[details=Spoiler]Such a cliche ending w/ the status quo remaining the same, just with a new set of characters. I did like the twist, in that people finding out the secret didn’t lead them to despair and suicide, but Pilcher killing everyone because they rebel against him and his “Big Brother” approach to life. I also liked that the mystery didn’t play out too long, only lasting until episode 4 or 5, which gave a lot of time for a proper story to play out.
Pilcher and the teacher made for great villains, though her and the First Generation’s fanaticism was more annoying than anything - which was obviously included as some social commentary of today’s world.
Again, the cliche ending ruined it for me. It’s the cheap way to end a story like this and Ethan’s death felt forced. Would’ve been better to fast forward the four years and have two separate civilizations - the survivors of the massacre living in Wayward Pines and the First Generation living secretly in an area left for them by Pilcher as some sort of cult, building their numbers to live as Pilcher wanted. Would’ve been a great nod to the population not only growing, but separating into cities and towns with their own forms of government.[/details]
The Strain–just 2 episodes into this season, and Eph’s kid is already quite annoying. Then again… that’s typically how it is on any show with kid characters. Children tend to be naturally annoying in any context.
Interesting things so far though… Bolivar (the rockstar dude) has shown up, and already appears to be one of the sophisticated, evolved vamps—he has a scene where he is speaking to Eichorst.
*On another note— I recently found out there is a Scream tv series on MTV. That’s an odd choice to become a regular series but I’ll watch. More than likely MTV has some serious hot girls on there. (check out their stable of eye-candy on Teen Wolf. That network is probably about on par with the CW in terms of hotness.)
ooh, that Hansel & Gretel movie is on FX right now… the woman playing Gretel is HOT (holy crap YES…). Also, I had no idea my old honey Famke Jansen is in this movie. Bonus points right there. I will watch Famke in anything. I cannot resist.
