Television General Discussion

I finished watching the rest of iZombie, and dammit it was good.

Every character played their part with snark and wit. There was definitely humor to go along with death/undeath and dramatic plot progression.

Damn good show all around. I just hope the second season stays at 13 episodes, or the creative minds can maintain the excellent pacing of the show while handling a greater order of episodes.

Can’t wait for Fall 2015! Seriously, everybody here should give this show a real chance.

Orange is the New Black was pretty good. The ending kinda sucked but whatever.

Bitten–episode 5–> pure, bare ass shot on Laura Vandervoort…soooo nice. This is assuming they did not sneak in a body double though… I doubt it due to the way the scene is shot, and how it looks to be her exact shape/proportions. damn damn DAMNNNNNN! Can I just touch it one time, girl…please? I want to reach through the tv screen one good time. PRIME white meat, that one.

I just recently finished watching that too (the most recent season I mean), everybody’s always gettin’ it in!

And lord bless the fight choreographers who work on the show too. The escalator scene was equal parts cool and weirdly funny at the same time.

just watched first episode of mr. robot and that shit is amazing!

It’s nice to know after all these years Shawn is still seeing Ghost Dad.

There are two new sci-fi shows airing now, Dark Matter and Killjoys, anyone caught them??

Anyone hype for True Detective Season 2 Premier tonight?

Will: “If I were like Hannibal, I would have killed you already, cooked you, ate you, and fed what was left of you to him. It’s what he would do.”

Hannibal: “I pay lots of attention… Not in a wide-eyed indiscriminate way.”

Bedelia: "No longer interested in preserving the peace you found here?"
Hannibal: “You cannot preserve entropy. It gradually descends into disorder.”

Season 3 of Orange is the New Black was ok imo. Its always light and funny but where season 1 had that bit of darkness and season 2’s intense Vee storyline to balance things this season was a bit more fluffier overall. I think not having a villainous character this season might have something to do with it but that was probably for the best since things could get a bit too formulaic. Im rewatching the first 2 seasons now and I’d say season 1 > 2 and then 3

Some storylines dragged on a bit too much but I think this season was mostly setting up 4 with the new dynamics in the prison after the last scenes reveal.

Spoiler

The Cult of Norma and 50 shades of crazy eyes are 2 arcs that couldve been a lot shorter imo and I wish the Martha Stewart character came in a lot sooner bc shes probably gonna get overshadowed next season with all the new inmates being tranferred ://

I hope Maritza gets a backstory next season, one of the few from season 1 that hasnt gotten one yet ://

Sense8 started off real weird and slow but I stuck with it bc my friend said it gets good and it really does. Its a really interesting idea and im not too familiar with the Wachowskis outside of the Matrix although I havent seen that in so long so ill watch the rest of it too but the dialogue is a bit hammy at most parts ://

Lmao between Sense8, OITNB and Grace and Frankie id say Netflix is quite big on the LGBT representation (Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt might fit in there too)

Well…Hannibal got canceled by NBC.

Fuck NBC, good luck with your next fucking “doctor who doesn’t play by the rules” hospital drama or generic cop show entry #10K

Hopefully Netflix or someone steps in for Hannibal. This FUCKING SUCKS

Also, agreed that Sense8 was cringe inducing, the Wachowskis have lost it, if it wasn’t totally apparent with Jupiter Ascending.

Well shit, that was quick.

Well, I thought Hannibal was doing well…? I’ve heard nothing but good stuff about it…but then again this is NBC we’re talking about, and they seem to always have some unrealistic expectations on ratings. Things get canceled quickly over there. I think the suits there want everything to have Superbowl-caliber ratings all the time.

Damn NBC cancelled it. Hopefully someone grabs it.

2nd season of True Detective already off to a good start.

I’m four episodes away from finishing OITNB Season 2 - I was kinda rooting for Piper going off on the black inmates, but it was also a bit sad because they all helped her out in the Season 1 finale.

Apparently Hannibal had actually dropped to all time bad ratings for them in Season 3 so…yeah.

All the critical acclaim in the world means nothing if no one watches.

Well now I’ve seen Mr. Robot as well. Think this show might deserve its own thread.

I still have to check that out. Heard nothing but great things.

give it a few episodes. not enough just yet to give it a thread.
