not necessarily the ones i voted but i think Gen, Karin, Dudley, Q , Sean would fit quite well for a Tekken style game.
from Tekken i just voted the ones who don’t have much appearance yet to lessen the feeling of “oh its them again…”
Actually before you said that, I watched some dude play Algol, and I thought, yeah hadoukens and whatever projectiles can look exactly like that. It would make a lot of sense.
a tekken style game? could of sworn the first thing harada said was that it’ll be a true 3D game
im fine with that because im very satisfied with tekken tag 2, keep the noob version out of my tekken!
What can I say I actually have taste in good characters. Kanye Shrug
I want Karin and “Urine” those 2 and im happy and insta buy.
Voted for SF character that I think would fit in Tekken: Adon, Gen, Q, Oro and Urien.
For Tekken it was mostly favorites. (Alex, Dragunov, Leo, Armor King and Jinpachi)
I don’t see many problems with SF characters in a Tekken engine. Fireballs will be nerfed to hell because side-stepping will kill it, but they’ll still be ‘oh wow’ moves that the casuals will be happy with. Akuma/Claw/Rolento air acrobatics will be some sort of mix between Devil Jin/Xiaoyu/Jack aerial moves - again, mostly useless other than specific situations. But in there none the less. Harada has more free reign because intrinsically the 3D engine of Tekken makes things very free-flow.
And lol about having 70+ command moves for each character in Tekken. In the grand scheme of things, maybe 12-15 of those are remotely useful with the rest being extremely situational things that don’t dictate the flow of matches. Of course stance changes will be interesting to see if any SF characters will get them…
Would appear to be the opposite actually >__>
Fireballs could work very well in the Tekken engine. The only question is how good will they be during wakeup games? Almost every SF character in ST can follow up a slow meaty fireball with a walk up throw, so all Harada should do is figure out how tech rolls or body rolls will work to avoid meaty fireballs.
I’m more worried about full screen torpedo attacks like Bison’s PC or Blanka’s Roll or even Balrog’s Rushes. These type of attacks are usually faster than fireballs so they may be tougher to side step on reaction, meaning they could be more powerful than fireballs if not done right.
I also hope long range throws like SPD and Typhoon will still be in this game. Without it, Zangief and Hawk just aren’t the same. Better get some reversal attacks for the Tekken characters lol.
I started adding the percentages together and barely 10 people in it was over 100%. The hell? Is the total 500% or something per side?
That might be a result of the fact you can vote for more than one character.
All fireballs in Tekken are unblockable, so I don’t have a problem, if the fireballs in TxSF were blockable and have fast startup and recovery.
I won’t have a problem, if NB would rework the Jump Engine. Higher Jumps and probably no more generic Hopkicks xD
Jumps are pretty useless in Tekken so lol…
They probably fucked up the formula, i bet it was originally suppose to show # of votes and someone wanted to show percentages and got fucked up.
Also, fuck Ingrid is too damn high.
I seriously look forward to this game simply out of curiosity. Tekken characters playing just like Street fighters? Eh not hard to imagine.
Street Fighters playing entirely in Tekken style? Whoa. Some of their trademark moves and what makes them, them, is engrained in the SF style gameplay structure.
Would Ryu really still be Ryu without SRKs, tatsus, fireballs, cross ups, etc?
Tekken:
Asuka
Lei
Eddy
Jun
Hwoarang
SF:
Eagle
Q
Chun-Li
Elena
Cody
Why has there been little to no info about the other side of this cross over? I’m way more interested to see how this comes out than playing SFxTK.
My votes:
SF:
Rainbow Mika
Hugo
Q
Elena
Dudley
Tekken:
Bob
JayCee
Lee
Alisa
Christie
I’m positive that Namco will hit this out of the park. Given how bad Ono sucks at making games I can’t help but feel raw excitement for this one. Harada’s not one to focus on stupid shit like gems and reality shows, he places the core gameplay above everything else. When all is said and done I’m positive that TXSF will have sold more than SFXT simply because Harada seems to have his head grounded in reality. Besides, 3D fighters have much more mass appeal than 2D ones these days.

Anyone who doesn’t vote for Dr. B is batshit insane - he’s one of the most creative characters in the entire franchise. He deserves another chance.
My votes were:
Tekken:
[]Alisa - Yeah my main yay;
[]Ganryu - Also my main, and the guy doesn’t have the love he deserves - his gameplay is actually solid AND varied enough to warrant a spot);
[]Alex - Part of it for the lulz - but the Dev Team can make him different than Roger/Roger Jr - like Jun in TTT2 - and keep him fresh, while adding a new gameplay style;
[]Kunimitsu - Same reason as Alex - the character got no development at all during the early days - they can fresh her enough and make her interesting - new style and all;

Dr. B - Unique gameplay and all sort of crazyness - HE MUST BE IN THE GAME.
Street Fighter:
[]**Karin **- Poor Karin. So much demand, and she’s yet to be in another game since CFJ. She’s rushdown, rekkas and all, fitting Tekken-style of things;
[]El Fuerte - Needs moar love. And his gameplay is wacky enough to make things really interesting in the Tekken engine;
[]Q - Q also needs moar love. I bet his 3D model would make everyone wet their pants;
[]Ingrid - Trollish reasons aside, I like her design and gameplay. The flashkick, the projectiles, etc - and every game needs a character that everyone loves to hate;

R. Mika - Another one who deserves all the love she can get. Cool potential for gameplay too.
And a reminder: don’t even dare to vote Ryu/Lili/Asuka/Chun/etc - they’re boring mainstay characters who’ll be in the game regardless. Instead, give LOVE to characters that are forgoten, capiche?
Tekken I don’t know but Sf I tought, why people are voting for freaking ryu?
I have bad memories of trying playing Dr B
And El Fuerte sucks both his background and moves, Ramon from Kof represented the style way better
And I agree Q will be so badass
