I voted Karin for myself and Dhalsim for Arturo. I don’t know anything about Tekken so I voted for whomever looked interesting.

I’ll put the results link in the first post
Very surprised, yet glad that Eddy ranked high in the votes, especially over characters like Ling, Alisa (I thought they were overly popular), and even Christie (the more appealing of the two). I was under the impression that fans hated capoeiras in Tekken. Not very happy about every titan powerhouse character sitting at the bottom though. Just goes to show you what people prefer in their tekken games. Mishimas shouldn’t have been on the list.
The SF votes are not bad. Cool that Alex is ranked #2 and R.Mika #3. C.Viper is unusually high for someone who isn’t preferred by the casual crowd, and Rufus being dead last is stupid (how does Joe get more votes than him). Ryu, Ken, and Chun should not have been on the list.
I personaly find hilarious Marduk is lower than Combot
I’m not too suprised about the capoeiras myself, if you think about it, characters only seem to really get hated when they either have a character design that clashs with what the target audience likes or when there are an absolute ****load of people who play that character and make scrubs salty en mass, guessing it’s the latter for them.
My main concern for this game will be:
Charge Characters: How will Boxer, Claw, Dictator, etc, play out in a 3D engine? This may not be as big of a concern, since you could just get the charge mechanic to work the same way as they do in an SF engine and there wouldn’t be much of a headache on getting it to work.
Fireballs: How will Namco weave this mechanic into their Tekken or 3D fighting engine. This is the biggest concern I have. Fireballs are staples in all SF games. Ryu isn’t Ryu without his hadouken. Sagat isn’t Sagat without his Tiger shots. I’m very intrigued in seeing how Namco implements this.
It’s dumb that Joe is even on the list considering Joe basically became Cody.
Please explain this to me Tekken fans, what is the obsession people have with Jun and never shutting up about having her in a new Tekken game? Are they basically Namco’s Karin fans?
Pretty much
feel free to correct me, if i’m wrong, but isn’t Asuka the same as Jun in playstyle?
…I just wonder how Street Fighter characters will work in a Tekken game. I mean even characters like Ryu, or Sagat…is going to be warp Tekken mechanics than ever before.
Sidesteps are pretty much jumps. They’ll sidestep far fireballs, like a neutral jump over fireballs so you’ll be using them mid range and upclose where it’s harder to react to them.

Or they’ll do this lol
As of TTT2, not anymore.
More hyped about this than SFXT. Hopefully their won’t be a retarded reality game show attached with it.
Skullomania in the game would be nice.
Wow, there must’ve been a lot of voting yesterday. Jun and Karin dropped nearly a whole percentage point since yesterday/ Still top for each side though, but it’s a lot closer than before.
I hate that Ingrid has so many votes. She’s not even a SF character, she was an original character for Capcom Fighting All-Stars along with Rook and D.D. (actually I think those 2 ended up in KoF MI as Alba and Soiree Meira lol), which got scraped and then she showed up in Capcom Fighting Jam and in PSP Alpha 3, which made her an alien demigod or some shit with Psycho Powers. Fuck that character.
Will be my first Tekken game I take seriously unless no one plays it in SoCal.
Leave and don’t come back
Keep in mind that as this is the Tekken version of the game, many of these moves will most likely have Tekken style inputs, just like most of the Tekken characters have SF style inputs in SFxT. For example, Claw’s rolling attack might be FC,d/f+LP. Charge attacks could be changed to b,F+P. Dictator’s stomp could be changed to FC u/f+RK. Claw’s Diving Attacks could be changed to wall attack inputs. The biggest problem with Claw is if he can jump back towards the wall he might be too good at running away. I suppose it could be tweaked to prevent it by shortening the distance of the jump.
Projectiles in Tekken can be side stepped or ducked. It will probably be the same way. While not good for spamming mindlessly projectiles may be a way for SF characters to punish backdashing depending on how it’s implemented.
Personally I was pretty happy to see most of the characters I voted for on the top of the polls. Kunimitsu, Eddy, R.Mika, Q. It amazes me that people waste their votes on Shotos and Mishimas.
Can’t they do projectiles like they did with Algol in SCV?
