Where i work just replaced the MSHvsSF machine with fucking Tekken Tag. God im pissed… Atleast it WAS a capcom game…
Anyway, whos top tier and who do i need ot learn to own everyone else?
t1. ogres/mishimas (jin,heihaci, kazuya, devil)
t2. changs (julia, michelle) bruce, brian, lei, yoshi
t3. everyone else
t4. jun, wang
american mishimas are weak sauce compared to korean mishimas. at our level, ogres are probably the best bang for your buck
instead of acting as a mindless robot that has to be told who to play, why dont you experiment and find someone you like? good lord the internet age are full of robots.
tier list is pretty accurate tho
Namely because i hate the Tekken series. I dont care enough to experiment with characters. It would be better for me to find 2-3 characters i know are good, and not wasting my time perfecting my Kuma or whatever. When we had MvSF, i could rock that game will everyone except M. Bison. So, im definately no robot, i just dont want to waste my time on a game i dont particularly care for. Before you ask, i know since i hate it i shouldnt play, but fuckit, its free play. Why not? Maybe ill learn the game/engine and like it. But right now, i suck, i get my ass kicked, and i want to be better. So why not start at the top? Thats like picking Sakura, Spiderman, and Dan in MvC2. I love those characters, but come on… be realistic.
Tekken takes some time to get around, specially if your a noob who came from 2d fighting games.
Once you get the hang of it,you won’t find it that bad.
Tekken Tag:
scrubs play with Jin,Devil
mashers play with Eddie,Hwaorang & Baek
Tekken4:
Jin,Kazuya & Heihachi are the top tiers
mashers play with Hwaorang & Cristie.
i find scrubs stick with paul/law. scrub mishimas are pretty crappy, but i guess it depends on how good “scrubby” is in your book.
your t4 list seems way off though
i remember top 3 (in the US) being jin/steve/nina while only the koreans putting heihachi top tier while the rest of us americans are still struggling to get all his JFs straight. who knows, that game is ass, so, i don’t care
mashers play Christie? Some of the top people (America) use Christie.
Top in T4 is Jin…nothing else really matters. Nina is good…but only 2 players that I know of (US) play her well. Paul/Steve/Hei up there as well.
Lee is also considered top tier in T4
I used to play Tekken Tag Hard fuckin core. I could take hours and hours bout tiers and who to learn, ill give u a quick team that will be easy to learn and own some ass.
Kazuya and Bruce, fatal team, if u wanna go cheaper u can always use devil instead of kaz, twin piston fever.
I only based my observations outside the US.
I know Cristie has alot of potential it just happens that those below the skilled level likes to mash with her.
Since these mashers couldn’t find any 2d fighter to be good at.
hey aj,yeah I agree on your list.I like to play with Bruce too.:D.
i can drop everyone in my area with law :o
R u sure about the Lei part? Paul is much stronger, Armor King is much stronger, even Ganryu is much stronger!!! Paul has the roll dash and much more damaging juggles and combos. Not to mention that Paul has reverses. Hes also decently fast, and with the anger meter, phoenix smasher deals enough damage to almost kill the opponent. Armor King has the shadow uppercut which if done rite can be equivalent to the EWGF. Not to mention that his variety of throws, versatile moves, and wake up game is better than Lei’s by far. Hell, Ganryu has weird ass traits that outfit Lei. Evasiveness? A lot of Ganryus moves go under moves, hit quickly, and deal great damage. His body is also a mystery. Not only does he have high stamina and a heavy body, but he does NOT suffer from the big traits that most big chars suffer from (getting hit with just about anything on the ground). Wheres Nina or Anna? They have the speed, the juggles, the juggle setups, and the pressure games. Yoshi i can sort of understand because of the uppercut, the flash, and a bunch of quick moves and juggles, but Lei i certainly do not understand. Plz clarify. O, im pretty sure Alex/Roger, and Kunimitsu is pretty damn low as well.
sup foo this Hevad from timeout
u going to evolution 2k3 this year? if so hit me up on private messenger, also my aim is HevadKhan. im looking for some1 to come with me, and maybe another kid too.
I agree with BBM, lei and yoshi (however good characters if in the right hands) don’t belong in t2, but rather t3. Yoshi is higher because of his ability to support well in fights and combos, lei is below cuz his combos aren’t that great and there are times where he really needs his tag partner
Both characters you really gotta work hard with and this I know because I play with both. Lei you really gotta suck huge dick to win with, for me when I learned him I played him with an evasive style using all the evasive properties of every one of his moves to my advantage. It’s the same thing with Voldo in sc2, not a high character but good if you are willing to work real hard to win with. Yoshi is good but you gotta play mind games with him like Lei, using his Yoshi flash to counter attack or for sick wake ups, uppercut properties (which lend a hand in wake ups), and his seemingly non existent high low mixups.
:wtf:
Lei has the best runaway in the game, which is why he’s tiered so high.
Good luck trying to catch a good Haha stepping Lei.
Lei got the HaHa step…
Just real quick, heres acouple of my tiers,
God Tier-
Devil-In a scrubs hands devil can own some pretty good ass, but in a expert who can wave dash, snake and all that kinda shit , he will own u and will be soooo fuckin annoying to even fight with , damn instant twin pistons. (U know if at the world tournament they didnt allow anyone to use devil that means two things, hes a damn cheap bastard or he just owns ass)
Ogre/T.Ogre-These guys are the shit or used to really be the shit, they own ass but damn, everyone has seen teh same shit over and over, over in h town, so many damn ogre players that it just became ridiculous. Dont get me wrong im saying thier god tier so dont think im saying thier like predictable or anything.
Top Tier-
Mishima- What can i say, everyone whos seen a good mishima knows thier good, damn special mid unreversable, safe (e)wgf, annoying shinning fists, especially if the side step well. Not to mention hell sweeps and stone head. But of course the order of mishimas is Jin, Hei and then Kaz
Bruce-I wanna say bruce is top tier cause of his damage factor whether u use him and get a counter or u use him in a tag combo, BUT, he is very side steppable, moves are pretty linear, their for, leaving him open for some damage if ur opponent knows when to side step.
Well thats all i feel like typing right now, cause face it, im a lazy bastard who hates to type…
Original tier list posted is correct.
Tier 1:
Ogres and Mishimas
Tier 2:
Changs, Kings, Team Korea, Kickboxers, Yoshi, and Lei
Then everyone else.
I could be wrong with Kings, Team Korea, and Yoshi though. I know Changs, Kickboxers, and Lei are definitely Tier 2. Lei’s HaHa Step into Razor Rush = teh hurt. Ogres okizeme and WS games also bring the pain. Wavedashing Korean Mishimas though are Godlike.
I’m surprised no one has mentioned Paul’s hopkicks. Powerpunches are iffy since you can tag cancel and get rid of that nestu damage, and you can simply low right jab them too. Low right jab works absolute wonders in that game. Hell you can stop Kazuya’s windgod with them. (or was that just jab)
anyway, Wavedash EWG. Learn it, abuse it. You can juggle True ogre in some rather amusing ways with it. And it hits true ogre grounded head first. Mad funny to hit him in the forehead telling your oppenent to get his ass up.
i think realplayer said all that needs to be said about lei
about yoshi:
i don’t know if this is universal or character specfici, but did u know his df+2 is unparryable/irreversible when tagged? completely safe, class 2 launcher with no possible way to screw up the motion (unlike ewgf)
ff+4 is tied for 2nd fastest move in the game (tied with ling’s b+1), but has far more range.
his 1,2,1 starter of his ten string is like his own personal version of the mishima 112, but at 8 frames, easier to just throw out .
he can triple SS with his b+3+4 spin move, not to mention ss+1 abuse.
b+1+4 owns people who don’t know how to space their wavedash correctly, and just a plain good “get ouf o my face move”. plus its the fastest move in the game bar none.
add all this up with a character who gets netsu ridiculously quick, and there’s no reason he isn’t tier 2
