Had a ling player in my dojo today beat the hell outta a saviour jin, damn i wish this game had a way to save videos like SF, was quite the education.
Lars players are just show-offs. A good bob is good.
Ling is all mixups, but no damage. So try to panic less when playing against her. I’ll work on Ling again and bring her to some casuals.

I need to find another character to play. I got Paul up to duelist, but struggle to mix people up with him now. Is there a list that summarizes if a character is good for zoning,oki, offensive or defensive play? Maybe a more combo based character would fit my play style.

Unhelpful tip, but it’s a direction - you have to use her phoenix stance and spins to avoid getting hit. If you watch good Ling players, half of their opponents’ attacks end up whiffing. I’ll see if I can find you some videos.

I was over in the TZ FAQ to read up on all the abreviations and jargon but the list is too long for my limited memory to memorise in 1 sitting lol.
You guys think Paul is worth taking on as a secondary character? He seems to have more combos now and most of the guys I come across are quiet solid also, just dunno what his learning curve is like now.
“Whiffing” is when an attack completely misses.
Paul’s a fairly hard character to learn. I mean, he’s all high damage 50/50 mixups, but really unsafe if you get blocked.

BTW guys mokujin festival is in effect, its just survivor mode vs waves of Mokujin, his silver cousin and this Kinjin dude who looks awesome.
You get 1 token per login and earn more every 3 online matches or so. Also there is a time limit per token, I only beat down like 8 of them then it ended, so maybe use high power ktfo characters while doing it

edit: each mokujin you beat gives 100gp *1.5 and 100exp, the first mokujin gives 200 exp
Since there’s only about 3-4 people active in it, I think having one thread is fine.
I’m not home or I’d jump on that moku fest. I’m content with missing it though if need be. I still prefer to play Tag.

I need to spot a coincidence, the moku fest is based of arcade mode. 8 rounds on normal mode is seems disappointly, and the exp rewards change between 100 - 200 exp randomly for whatever reason. All mokus are the lvl40 range but are all piss easy to beat.
edit: just unlocked steve, seriously fuck this game, 3 peeps left to unlock and I bet your ass ill get bryan before I get either of the 2 I want.
Mokujins go up in level the more you kill, currently at 56 dead mokus and they are all rolling lvl 58 with 198 power lol.
So i guess you got the event before us? I don’t have an update to the event talking about the festival, and haven’t gotten a token for the event.
