Tekken movie coming soon

it cant be worst then when xiayou said the cliche and overexaggerated “NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO”. that shit was hilarious.

This movie is asscheeks.

Somebody in my theater actually yelled “What am I fighting for!!!” during that scene. XD

78M “Seventh bookshelf, eight steps away from me, M for medical records…” ???

Quite a few random moments in this movie, not at all what I expected. Also a lot more schoolgirl-robot sexual tension than I thought there would be.

The questions at the end were entertaining. “You were thinking character development, I was thinking chainsaws.” Sums up the problems with this movie pretty well.

^ cept that Harada (who said that quote) had no discernible influence in the writing of this film; so I really don’t understand what’s your point there.

Though I completely agree that the 78m thing was so out of nowhere and totally ridiculous.

That panda… was running on water.

Panda was the only thing good through the whole movie…

Now I feel bad for liking this movie. I’m not going to say it was the greatest thing but it was a way to spend a Tuesday night. :looney: And the theather had a :wtf: between Ling and Alisa’s “relationship”. I did like the ending fight.

Quite possibly the worst movie I have ever seen. I don’t know who this was meant for. Normal people certainly can’t sit through the whole thing, and the Tekken games have a far more coherent plot than this movie which says a LOT. Never in a million years would I guess they’d make Xiao and Alisa the main characters. I would’ve preferred 90 minutes of pure fight sequences.

For the life of me I don’t know why they would design yet another bishonen emo throw-away character for absolutely no logical purpose. No one ever wants to see these types of characters in game-franchise films but they always add them. Somehow most Hollywood game films manage to be better than this one.

And yet somehow you forget that Advent Children Complete made the story coherent and flow way better than the previous version. Just saying Winback, you’re taking these movies WAAAY damn seriously. Not saying you had to like those movies but the movies were enjoyable and kept the feel of the games in tact.
Despite all the roll your eyes moments that Alisa and Xiayu brought to this movie, I enjoyed it and i felt the 3 way fight at the end made it worth it. The Devil Character models for Jin and Kazuya were interesting even if it did deviate from the games.

i want my fucking money back. who the hell wrote this shit…and why was the dub as bad as an early 90’s anime?!

Movie summary ahoy. Movie sounds like fun.

didn’t see it on the basis of it being dubbed and from the reviews i’m seeing in here it looks like i made the right choice.

My point was that Harada (or someone with his mindset) should have had something to do with it, but instead they hired some guy who was all worried about character development. The movie would have been much better off if they had hired someone who was thinking “chainsaws”.

I relate this movie to a porn. Skip the story and get right to the action.

WINBACK, why do you watch these movies, when you know that you will not enjoy them? Are you a masochist, or do you actively seek out material to use in trolling weeaboos?

Heihachi single-handedly saved this movie.

The movie wasn’t that bad. Just these are opinions of a few people. I saw it, wasn’t that bad. It had a few cheesy moment but at the same time I feel it set out to be entertaining. I was entertained and went home not angry at what I just watched. Fights were dope, music was spot on in my opinion, the plot was okay though it had a few cheesy parts and it was very visually pleasing. If people wanted Gone with the Wind only with Tekken characters and fighting in it then … That movie does not exist. The only thing that bothered me were the weaboos and the people who were suddenly Ebert and Roper talking throughout the movie. That and some idiot next to me who kept saying 4chan memes in the middle of the dialogue. Other than that I’d say watch it and come to your own conclusion about it. You just might enjoy it. Some people on here love bashing movies while others can like it or feel so so about it and just agree with it sucking for the sake of not having an argument on liking it or not. I can say that I will watch it again once it comes out on blu-ray though.

This movie sucks in any language.

True Tekken fans in this thread right here. So far the only people who liked this film either don’t play Tekken that much or are just Ling/Alisa/‘teenage-animu-girl-plot’ fanboys. It’s a sad day time for gamer-community reception when people let stuff like this slide.

If the live action Tekken film was CG instead then it would have been much more enjoyable than this, and even more like Tekken (but not by much).

Visually it was amazing but the story was really bad.
