So the remaining characters are Julia, Lei, Anna, Mokujin, and the 2 newbies. Seeing as there are still 2 slots left after them, I think weāll get 2 more too.
So does this mean the console version is getting some additions to the roster as well? Or are console and arcade versions going to be on par this time around?
Im pretty sure harada confirmed awhile ago that both would have parity, especially since the arcade version is connected to the internet now. Btw is that leak real or just a rumor?

*Balance is arguably terrible compared to last 3 Tekken releases (DR, BR, TTT2). Tier lists are all over the place with only agreements on a few at the top.
I donāt think that character usage = tier list
They are not directly related. However, the current tier lists and first hand accounts tend to be contradicting. Some notable players having Jack at the bottom tier all by himself makes no sense when tournament players have excelled with him, while Gigasā attacks often have a 50/50 chance of connecting and damage output is subpar and he is placed higher. Or in the case of characters like Katarina and Shaheen, where spam is no longer good enough to go forward and few tools exist to play defensively. Meanwhile shenanigans like Lingās nearly invincible rolls and Claudioās fast, mid crushing hopkick are downplayed. Not to mention that strong characters like Hwoarang, Feng, Paul, Steve, and Bryan are often placed middle of the pack. Akuma is downplayed as well due to a few nerfs to his mixups despite his damage output potential staying the same and those tools staying 100% intact.
A lot of players have varying tier list but how does that equate to the balance being terrible?
A lot of the new characters have been reduced to shit after FR update, others like Gigas were shit already. A lot of characters that used to be competitive like Nina and Lars have zero representation in tournaments. Some like Paul, King and Ling are crazy strong in practically every category and only lose due to sidestep or some mid crush and rage art shenanigans.

I think some of the lowest played characters are a bit on the lower end of the tier spectrum. Might not be a 100%, but high tiers are usually heavily played in Asia and if a character isnāt getting used much after various nerfs I think it may be telling. That being said the balance isnāt final on the game so who knows what the launch roster will be like move and frame data wise.
