I used to play Asuka quite a bit in Tag 2, and I still remember how to use her. I also used Feng and Lars as well back then, but I haven’t tried them in T7.
Oh, and Kazuya and Devil Jin, though I still haven’t gotten used to playing them on hitbox.
Heihachis lows are based on the timing position of the situation
db2 is in that borderline between being seeable and non seeable
really the trick is to mix in b2 because the animations are exactly the same.
crouching df4 is something you use at the wall because if you land the first then the second is guarantee then you can dash up and do f4 for plus frames or do uf 4 which will beat any thing they do on wakeup and wall splat and if its blocked you are safe
d4 is to pester and you mix that with db 3 just to give them something to think about in open field and when they fuzzy guard alot
really his mids are where he shines
the threshold for someone blocking something and still being able to step everything including jabs which are the universal fastest moves in the game is -3
hei has a bunch of mids that are - 2 to 3
so you can throw out mids and they can check you on them too much because you could sidestep and launch them. like df1 is -1 on block so if you feel they might try to jab check you you can always sidestep EWGF or something else
some are plus like f4 +5
and uf 3, 4 is decent
it leads to a screw combo on hit but they nerfed the + on block frames so its+1 instead of +4 like in older tekkens
that means you dont get a guarantee df1 to check them. like you used to in older games.
kazuya is the hardest to use though
his poking is limited and punishment has to be precise
his weakness of being stepped to the left is emphasized more then the other mishimas as they have tools to combat that much better.
I agree Kaz is the hardest mishima to use. Heihachi is offensive, but actually he can turtle as well.
Josie is very slept on imo. I played a long set against a Josie player last week, took awhile to adapt. I eventually started punishing and doing well placed orbitals and rage arts to bail me out. Then realized I needed to lab her because one of my friends gives me some trouble with her. Found out she gets 60+ damage off CH Standing 4, even though her Standing 4 is 12 frames not 11 like others. F+1+2 into df+1,4,2 is an excellent punisher.
Then you have Kagemaru making that team tournament run with her. Knee doing decent with Josie against Qudans.
Speedkicks uploaded a recent video of him doing a ranked run with her and mentioning on twitter he needs to understand her better.
I think Knee should stick with Josie and Bryan as mains.
Heihachi’s db2 also works really well to crush highs alongside the whole animation trickery. It’s a decent attack, although it sucks that it is launch punishable… but it’s compensated for decent damage and being pretty + on hit (+5).
Turns out they added “New Challenger” sfx upon finding a player online. I kinda wish they have the visual fx show up as well (not pausing the game) to mimic the arcade version. I was expecting a change in Revenge Match with that add-on, but from the videos I saw, nothing. Again… would be nice to have the arcade aesthetics to apply for these two portions.
damdadamdadam a new challenger.
nice change, it really helps when you do other stuff on the side.
edit:
to clarifie what i talk about, they added a announcer voice when the matchmaker found a new opponent for you while you are in the warm up area.
FINALLY
I wish in a future update they revamp the warm up area while you wait for a match. I would like that area to have all the stuff practice mode have. Also that you could pick which character you practice with on that area as well.
That way if I want to lab up a character I don’t have to leave the matchmaking and can lab while I wait for another match.
Also add frame data to practice mode so I don’t have to use tekkenbot.
PLEASE HARADA!!!
geese is available on xbox1
and its up on pc too as it seems. at least in the store
geese dlc pack cost 7,99€
ed
so buying both char packs will be cheaper then the season pass which cost 24,99
do i need bowling and the costumes…
Just woke up and wow wth Geese is still not available on PS4? are you serious Sony?
What are a few hours…people seem to have to wait weeks now for hellboy.
Did you guys all bought the season pass or do you plan to purchase him seperately.
I’m thinking of getting it separately by the end of next week possibly. I mean, the Season Pass highlights are bowling and 2 guest DLC characters right? Bowling imo isn’t worth it since it doesn’t have online play.
Man, the fact that Geese’s stage is packed with him is kinda annoying. I have no interest in playing him but really want to play on the stage.
And yeah, the Season Pass is a waste of money.
I bought the Season Pass… I’m gonna want every single DLC character that’s released, and that’ll eventually cost more than the Season Pass
I thought the Season Pass only covered DLCs 1, 2, and 3? (Bowling, Geese, and Noctis)
