First world problems.
Kids these days. Back in my day I played SFIV for like 4 years without finding a character I liked, but did I complain?! (spoiler: I did. Quite a bit :V)
I feel you, I feel you.
It is cool to see a Gigas(worse in the game) player, beating Qudans at the recent Master Cup.
How the fuck do you deal with Hwoarangās (right foot forward) f,f+4,3?
Yeah you can duck it, I know. Is there some other secret discord tech that a noob that canāt react to that shit can use to deal with that fucking move?
If I can neutralize that shit, Iām like sooo close to fucking shit on that retarded Hwoarang that I meet in player matches all the time.
Fucking guard crushing asshole moveā¦
I fucking hate that guy to the guts.
Fuck him!
so, Geese is coming in 2 days for consoles?
:clapdos:
going to play him for a while to learn the matchupā¦feed up with people just doing shit and me not having the slightest idea how to react.
to cover at least the basic shit of himā¦the game is filled with so muchā¦nonsense to learnā¦kinda frustating at times.
wanted to go in depth starting with lil but fuck that shitā¦basic stuff from now on.
btw, how does it come that paul gets 61 out of a demoman after a gengetsu?!
that makes no sense at allā¦its not a combo but at the right distance you can get that instead of the usual max 58
there is no real confirm for that date from the official side, just a microsoft store dlc pack which is listed for that date.
soā¦i would see it as a maybe at this point.
ed- wasnt it the 30th? so 3 daysā¦
^
ah ok, thanks for the info
Nah. It has a relatively obvious animation, youāll just have to train yourself to duck it.
You canāt afford to not be ducking it of course, Hwo does way too much wall damage.
The trick is identifying when Hwoās in RFF, and what moves the player uses to get into the stance. If you can do that, the move becomes a lot easier to deal with since you can often see it coming.
Itās still a hella good move though.
Ah, I shouldāve guessed that you can cancel from cd into ff2 (heihachi stuff). Iāve finally found my mixup. I guess I just use electrics for punishing/pressure, eh?
Kind of the opposite of the question that was asked a few pages back about how many matchups you guys knowā¦but how many or which characters can you play competently outside of your normal main?
outside of devil jin
hei
feng
nina
lars
i try to touch everyone else but those are the ones i would take to a tournament. mostly to spice things up
at this point, noneā¦not even my main.
I can only play Alisa at the same level as my Lars
Outside of Dragunov
Josie
Devil Jim
And right now Iām learning Bryan, almost got it. No taunts yet though.
I used to play Feng really well, them I stop playing Tekken for some months and now that I got back I completely forgot how to play him lol.
Literally nobody
Heihachi Mishima is the hardest Mishima to use in tournaments as he need to rely on wave dashing and ewgf to pressure his opponents. His lack of fast low hurts his game against good turtles. Characters like dvj and kazuya have good low poke moves. Heiās uf3,4 used to be a good tool at pressuring opponent. But it got nerfed and it tracks poorly.
Thanks for posting about Heihachi having no quick lows, actually. I just assumed d/b+3 was a good poke based on the animation, but I never thought it would be so negative. I guess d4 is my go to low poke for now
EDIT: And I just learned Hellsweep isnāt a guaranteed launcher after the first hit. Apparently you can block the second hit, but it canāt get punished as hard.
Not including Shaheen and Raven, I play Josie, Kazumi and Yoshi at a decent level. I started learning Jin recently. Picked him up on and off since T6 but trying to play him properly now.
He has d+4, d/b+2, FC d/f+3(?) and Hell Sweepā¦ All good lows. I donāt remember u/f+3,4 ever tracking well but pretty sure itās still a good pressure option. It leads into a screw combo on hit now also.
A lot of people have different opinions on this, imo, Kazuya is the hardest Mishima to use. His general poking game is a lot weaker than DJ and Heiā¦ your execution, punishment and mixup game has to be on point to compensate.
db2 is slow and is punishable with a combo. you need to condition the mind of your opponent before you can use it as it is a move the can be blocked on reaction. db3 is still part of Heihachi game. but be careful when using it.
