Evo 2011 aside, I think Bob is cool. Heâs the stereotypical fat American that the rest of the world likes to poke fun at, yet heâs so good in-game that it negates the image. Heâs not too serious, but definitely not a joke character either.
What did I just write? Iâm perfectly fine with teens acting like teens. I do have a problem with teens acting like 4 years olds. Do I need to point a video of Xiaoyuâs Tekken5 pre-fight intro âWhoeeeeeoaaaaawâŚ! Looks like Iâm in for a fight!â?
I want Lucky Chole to be the toppest of the top tiers in the game. I want her to have a 6 frame mid EWGF and have a bunch of crush moves. I want Top 8 at EVO to be all Catgirls, itâll be beautiful.
So this is an eye candy character who is full of enthusiasm, cosplays as a catgirl to fit that neko fetish, smiles a lot. Designed exclusively to appeal to virgins who arenât getting any and can let their imaginations run wild with what they would like to do with lucky chloe.
Terrible design. They could at least give her a more muscular build like a real cat would have. So a girl with the build of an average teenage girl who looks like she doesntâ work out but has a high metabolism. She hinders her self with the dumb cat arms cause that greatly cushions the small amount of force she generates in her punches. Couldnât they give her nasty long steel claws, give her a muscular build? No that would detract from the pervert bait she is designed to be.
This is one of the few times I regret being in Japan instead of the states. Iâm going to miss out on the opportunity to bathe in salty dudebro tears when I play Chloe and smash some Devil Jins. If only the japanese players were as hilariously put off by a generic âmoeâ design.
Oh well. At least I can read through Haradaâs twitter feed for some quality comedy.
Actually the best thing that might come out of the whole Chloe debacle would be that Harada dedided to add a muscular, head shaved chick for console/PC release. Gotta start campaigning for that.
What I would do with her? Delete her game files of course! They went just about as extreme as you could go with fanservice to the point of it being absolutely ridiculous. Absolutely nothing about Chloe suggests a fighter. It is obviously going to greatly hurt international appeal cause it reinforces a very negative stereotype about anime/Japan.
Not sure if serious⌠donât see anything extreme or fan service with this character except for the same amount of cleavage as most other characters, sheâs not even wearing panties but booty shorts too, and she is just as un-muscular as the other female fighters in the franchise.
Part of me wonders how serious Harada is from removing a character from a regions port. If he REALLY wanted to, he could make all the US copies lack Chloe which would probably anger alot more than those who are âupsetâ at her inclusion.
I think itâs all hilarious though, and look forward to seeing her in action come arcade videos. Makes me wonder how her customization will be since I donât think theyâre making the characters el generico like TTT2 did but more like how it was T5/DR/6.
Itâs not about cleavage or skin, sure there have been characters that have appeared with less, however all the posing and movements are fanservice. The cosplay, pink fur arms are fanservice.
I was joking about deleting the character, cause you just get one less character. However a lot of westerners wonât touch guilty gear cause they feel it is too anime. Now tekken is incredibly popular in the west, however those that refuse to buy Guilty gear for those reasons will probably pass on this version of tekken as well.
Tekken will sell just fine in the west, and all this controversy is free advertising. Basically all the people complaining about this a) wouldnât buy the game anyway or b) are still gonna buy it regardless.
