Tekken 7 announced

You know that ish sound like bull right. I believe you have the terms nothing and anything confused. One can name a single character or aspect of a game, which is in the void of existence and since that is a piece of information or knowledge of the game that doesn’t fall under the criteria of nothing.

So anyways back to the topic-
Reacting to hands is pretty hard, but it’s a lot easier to just differentiate between 1+2 throws and regular throws. (Check with the throw trainer mentioned in the last page)
You’ll be guessing against regular throws 50/50 but at least your ass is covered from the 1+2 throws which are the more dangerous ones.
Also king’s and roger’s throws are supposed to be much better than regular throws, and a valid mixup tool. That’s why they are really fast and don’t have a unique animation.

roger fucking owns

Butthurt about what? You’re the one from scrubland.

also he loves your crotch

I dunno, it may be because I’m rooted in VF but I always found throws not tracking the dumbest thing ever. I mean you can sidestep my attacks but a throw will whiff? Kinda stupid where Tekken in general has a lot more safe moves than VF. I block an attack that’s safe but my opponent is at disadvantage. So they sidestep cancel. Its a dumb option select imo because it will avoid moves that don’t track AND throws. I should at least be entitled to a grab attempt. But, eh.

Though in Tekken everyone has a 100% tracking move (sometimes multiple) and a d+4. I’ve always felt that grabs should be used on people who want to block all day, not people who are trying to evade. Tracking moves, sweep kicks, and d+4’s should be your tools for people who won’t sit still. Otherwise grabs cover two bases - People who move, and people who just block.

I think it is dumb from a realistic stand point in VF that an attack always beats a grab (I understand the rock-paper-scissors mechanic of it). A grab in Tekken can beat an attack if it catches them before the attack actually hits. That is about the only valid place for grabs at high level Tekken, because it is much more difficult to break a throw immediately after you just executed an attack. Though, it really is not something to aim for much, because counter hit launchers obviously give you more bang for your buck.

tekken should just copy VF’s graphic. VF’s graphic is insanely japanesy, and it makes the female characters look much hotter. i’m kinda bore of playing tekken now cuz while the gameplay is great, i’m just not feeling the graphic. in fact, i might have to pick up VF if the next tekken don’t have similar graphic to it.

Tekken was more fun when it was on a 2D plane back in 1976 or whenever Tekken 2 came out. Sidestepping looks retarded and just gays everything up overall. My argument is irrefutable.

Ironically it gives the thrower disadvantage (of about 4+ frames.) Which… I mean, it would really suck if you teched the throw only to be disadvantaged afterwards.

I know. Did you not read my edit or are you agreeing with me?

Eh, I don’t really agree on the Giant swings, but if it does just come down to 50/50 with most people, I guess there’s nothing more to talk about on that subject, considering majority of the time it’s 50/50 with me anyway.

The hell!?

Didn’t see it, my bad.

I think he’s referring to all those vids showing two players sidestepping back and forth over and over again with that bad jerky looking animation that makes it look as though the characters are spazzing out.

And I think Rouzu was referring to 1976 when he responded.

Why do vf players complain about Tekken’s juggles? At least some semblance of gravity is in play, rather than vf’s gently coasting to the ground on a leisurely 195 degree descent as if you’re on the moon.

Uh. You realise that the only move that sends the opponent flying nearly as high as many Tekken moves is probably Kage’s Izuna throw? Juggles in VF are generally pretty damn short because they don’t float as much as in Tekken. I have to imagine you’re thinking about the floaty jumps? Tekken’s not exactly a lot better in that department.

Wasn’t talking about super launchers, I’m talking about vf’s “sliding down a gentle incline” juggles. If they were trying to be so hyper-realistic, you wouldn’t moon-combo someone as you do now. You’d either knock them farther away or straight to the ground with one blow (rather than 4 or 5) once they were knocked off their feet.
