TEKKEN 6 Bloodline Rebellion Thread - PS3/XBOX 360 Oct. 27, PSP Nov. 3

Slide & Everyone else: Let’s not turn this into another VF vs Tekken thread. VF is great. Tekken is great. They’ve moved into pretty much opposite directions now (VF is on the evolutionary path of it’s own game, and Tekken has developed it’s own style of play). There are misconceptions on both sides, but that’s because both games require an insane amount of dedication in order to achieve high-level play, so a high-level VF player wouldn’t have the intimate knowledge about Tekken because he’s spent all those years playing VF, and the same can be said about Tekken players.

Respect should be given on both sides.

Onslaught: Anyone with any basic level of experience (and I’m literally talking people who have just recently/barely thought past 10-hit combos) will look at your comments in the same light as those from an autistic retard. Seriously. You’re so stupid and thick-skulled it hurts.

IBeatWomen: You’re right. Just like you don’t need all those cross-ups and 2-in-1 combos in Street Fighter. It’s all about landing them Ultras.

GTFO you trolls. Go fuck each other’s moms if you’re bored at home with nothing else to do.

Apples ALL DAY son. HOLLA. Fuck that orange-softy shit. It takes me twice as long to peel that shit than to eat it.

/trolling

im good

I will play tekken

Onslaught DJKor and Crow are in Huston. Go play them.

haha fucking clown-ass cowboy.

2 in 1 combo is the equivalent of a launcher in tekken. ultra is like a wall bounce.
and cross-ups can be counter by a reversal dragon punch.

you live in singapore? is there even a tekken scene there? are you even a top player?
i’ve played against top level players from korea, taiwan and tokyo in the arcade and can pretty much trade games with them. you sound like a scrub who puts too much emphasis on technical shit. lemme guess… you’re a computer programmer? dork.

Vitamin D overdose

Show us videos of you “trading” games with the top level players from Korea, Taiwan, and Japan. I seriously doubt you can hang with those guys with you using Eddy and mashing 3,4. Oh i’m sorry, did I tell everyone your strategy? GTFO

I think your mistaking top players for scrubby players that kick your ass all day long.

haha i already know i’m a much superior player than you. i can tell you’re a scrub who spam miguel’s low punch launcher, hopkick and twin piston all day.
you prolly got pwned by mr.naps and the socal crew ie. kane/myk/rip for free all day long and still couldn’t take a match from them. that’s how good i am.

First off, HOLY SHIT. I didn’t know the customization ran so deep in T6. I didn’t even recognize half the people in that video until they did trademark moves.

Secondly, don’t EVER get fooled by high level play videos. They MAKE it seem easy. You can see this effect in a lot of game videos on youtube. Sometimes, the smooth levels of play pros experience make the game seem easier or more forgiving than it is.

In reality, against competent players, it’s hard to gauge the situation and react in a way appropriate in so little time.

I seriously doubt you can take a round from any SDT member. Those guys will rape you with mind games. You talk how your so good and shit, and yet I never seen a video of you playing. Show a video or shut the fuck up.

Oh and just because you use a top tier character and can beat the CPU on hard doesnt mean your good. Stupid Fuck.

watch the trolling in here guys… this is your warning

LOL. Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight. Forgive me if I don’t believe you. Too many people on SRK think they’re good, but are blissfully unaware that they’re scrubs.

Also, going back to the whole “technical” issue: sure you don’t need to WD to win, but you would also be limiting your options. Ever seen a top Mishima not know how to WD? No? Didn’t think so.

And “dork” is weak sauce. Try harder. Maybe if you put in half as much effort into insulting me as you do tossing Onslaught’s mom’s salad, then maybe, maybe I might just shed a tear. Or sniffle.

Mindless name calling isn’t making your argument any stronger, if I’m being as stupid or “autistic”, then why spend so much time getting down to my “level”? If what I’m saying is false and I’m so “thick skulled”, then there is really no need for you to respond to me. I presented my opinion, backed it up with evidence. And I explained what the top players were doing, I didn’t go in depth by counting frames and making up a bunch of uncommon scenarios, there wasn’t a need to do that. As I explained this kind of knowledge isn’t exclusive to Tekken at the top level. The basics of top level play where as I mentioned, basic back and forth whiffing, mix ups be it standing or Oki, and combo knowledge, etc. . . Pretty much required for all 3D fighters at the top level. You’re making a mountain out of a mole hill with all these pretentious examples and then you’re throwing a tantrum because I don’t agree with you. I suppose asking you to grow up and present your opinion with a bit more class and a little less attitude would be too much to ask of you, so I’ll just leave it at that.

Tekken 6 is a good and simple accessible fighter with solid mechanics and enough depth to last until the next revision.

@Onslaught

You can WATCH high-level match of any fighting-game and slap that “doing the simplest shit” statement without any problem. For instance:

4MXCA5jNxkQ]**A VF5R match of legendary Homestay Akira[/b

A bystander’s (ignorant) statement would be: “Man, that was simple. He was back-dashing, throwing, poking and comboing. He was doing the simplest shit in fighting-game’s history”

u9YyLKWbiXk]**Daigo vs. Jeff Schaeffer[/b

Comment: “lol sonic boom. He didn’t do shit except sonic boom and those pokes.”

This, of course, does not change the fact how technical VF is. It also doesn’t affect the godly space controlling ability of Jeff Schaeffer. Then again, knowledge is the key to understand those matches.

This goes back to the same roots: Number of available options and balance amongst them.

I saw very situational strict input combos, throw set ups into a combo and mix ups, throw breaks, use of the stun system into combo, similar whiffing and crushing concept in Tekken. THAT right there is NOT accessible and hard to get into. Which is why Vf scene is so small compared to Tekken’s. VF is a beast of its own. Yes Tekken has these concepts, but it’s much more layered and apparent in VF.

In that SF2 match all he was doing was hit confirm the sonic boom getting a dizzy then throwing, execution wise it’s difficult. But there really wasn’t much going on in this match. . .

Why arent you banned yet?

I believe I’ve gotten a round on Crow, mashing with Zafina in TK6 og, lol.

If we started banning people for having justified opinions, then this whole place would be rather empty.

And you are unable to see:

 • Situational or strict combo(s/es)
 • Throw set-up
 • Throw break
 • Usage (and breaking) of stun into potential combo
 • Whiff and Crush

AND

 • Oki set-ups
 • Advance movements
 • Space controlling and zoning
 • Wall-pressure
 • Frame-traps
 • Just-frames
 • Maneuvers/Moves with very strict timing

in Tekken? That, right there, is contradicting your previous statement. Did you not see these things in _Bub_p9QoPc]**THIS[/b match? Once again, knowledge is the key in order to understand the matches.

Of course Tekken is more accessible at low-level and no-one is disputing that fact. But it isn’t simple, period! There are also many other reasons of having a smaller VF scene in USA or Europe.

it’s obvious you’re just another scrub. bye shithead.

I don’t think you get what I’m saying here. It’s not that they aren’t there, it’s HOW MUCH of there it is. You’re telling me that these factors are in Tekken 6, great, I said that too, but my argument was what MOST of a Tekken match boiled down to. Which is very basic as explained earlier.

Alright then why isn’t VF’s scene as big as Tekken? I’d sure love to know. Cause if it’s not accessibility then it’s got to be something major.

Its not a justified opinion, You’re just a fuckin moron. Then again, We DO have genshiro out in GD. Carry on…
