Man, if Tekken 6 online is anything like 5 DR, I will shoot somone. I was 80 and 26, and I lost 5 matches today, I had straight black bars. God damn, that is frustrating. I pray NAMDAI hears out the fans and fixes that shit.
^Why are you still playing DRO?
cause we are among the 95% poor unfortunate souls whom are arcadiecaped:sad:!!!
This man wins!
Yeah, but that doesn’t explain why he’s not playable and Kazuya still transforms into it from time to time like in 5.
Kazuya absorbed Devil, Kazuya is inherently evil. Uh, he doesn’t need to transform, and that would only give Kaz 3 new moves. The stand laser, the flying laser, and the fly behind you laser. Thats it.
ive never looked at kazuya as being the same since 4, the way heihachi acts towards him is as if its actually devil in control, when kazuya was boss in t2 the music was happiness shit, he even had angel there
since 4 ive seen it not as kazuya but as devil, he seemed fastest in t2 but in t4 he played more like devil kazuya, he just feels clunkier

in this cutscene it even shows heihachi look at kazuya and say “who are you”, then he replies “I am what you refer to as devil”
so the real kazuya is lost in there somewhere, and we’ll probably have jin beating devil and bringing his father back to reality
come on oppose me, im waiting :wgrin:
ok actually I watched all of the clip, kazuya i think wants to destroy or control all of the devil gene. the prologue of tekken 5 says kazuya and heihachi fought as father and son but DEVIL KAZUYA flew away
kazuya might still be control from time to time by devil, i dont think kazuya himself is inherently evil, he’s just being randomly persuaded by this djinn.
No…Kazuya fused with Devil, there is no more Devil, Kazuya is the only one left. He has all of Devil’s powers, but Kazuya is the one in control. During the ending of T4/beginning of T5, Kazuya started fighting the Jacks to save his own hide. He knew they were after Hei, so he morphed and flew out of there.
Cause in Kaz’s ending, he says "I never knew about this method of unifying our powers, and hence forth, Kaz is the one in complete control, and able to use Devil’s powers to the max instead of it being the other way around.
lotta loremasters in this thread
…I WANT MY KAZUYA BACK :crybaby:
someone link me the fallen colony BGM, thanks
There is no devil?? Did you just ignore the man’s post above you that’s clear evidence from the game itself. T5 is only months after 4.
No I did not. Devil was a separate entity until Kazuya absorbed him, there is no more devil. Just Kazuya. It’s like Kabuto absorbing Orochimaru, there is no more.
Why all the talk about Devil? We got D.Jin
Ok well since this has become storybook thread…
Kaz is fully in control of Devil now. He’s still evil because…he just is. One can probably argue that enduring his father’s strict, heartless training as a child and a later lust for revenge is what shaped Kaz, but it was always destined for Mishima Bloodline to be incoherently evil. Even without Kaz’s pact with the Devil, Hei would still be doing Hei shit, Kaz would still have his asshole affairs, and I’m sure Jinpachi did his dirt back in the day. Whether it was a loss of someone he cared for or another issue, Jin would’ve undoubtedly became a villain anyway. Fuck a Devil gene. It was his destiny all along.
Also, Kaz’s current body is a “clone”, constructed by G corporation some time before T4 when they salvaged what they could of him from T2 volcano incident. His slower, more robotic movements since then can be a factor of that, old age, or just programming. But I think storywise he’s as powerful as ever.
I don’t believe it’s a clone body. Otherwise Kaz wouldn’t have all them scars. I believe they just resurrected his body. I have the T4 manual here somewhere. However, Kaz did lose an eye, and they gave him a cybernetic eye.
This is my take on Kaz’s story. He and “Devil” are two separate entities. Kazuya made a pact with devil to take revenge on his father. Devil had other plans and because of Kaz’s hatred for Heihachi he pretty much stayed around. So either kaz has truly controlled Devil or Devil is playing Kaz like a game of Hungry, Hungry Hippo.
I actually have the Tekken 1 manual. Kaz turns into the Devil because of a “gene” that exists in Mishima blood, but skips a generation or two once in awhile.
The thing is, it skipped Heihachi, and Heihachi has been trying to take it “out” of Kazuya for a long time and fuse with it - afaik, it would grant him immeasurable power. Thing is, Kazuya was having none of that, and as luck would have it, Jin also inherited the gene from Kazuya. Hence in Hei’s T4 (iirc) ending, he “wins” by finally capturing both Kaz and Jin, in order to extract the gene from both of them.
Of course… based on T5’s plot, his ending wasn’t the “true” one (Jin’s was). But essentially, Kaz == Devil. Kaz has just learned to control it, but Jin hasn’t/can’t.
The story is so loose and ill defined…Namco needs to clean it up in T6, but they probably won’t.
I’ve read about the “gene” theory, too…but, I also remember reading that Devil tried to possess Jin’s unborn body while Jun was pregnant between T2 and T3. But, Jun said, “I have a better idea” and beat the crap out of him instead.
So, Devil got owned by a pregnant woman.
Mama Kazama = no joke.
Devil saved Kaz’s life when he was thrown off the mountain in Tekken 1 (referenced in Xiaoyu’s ending in T5). And in exchange, he wanted his first son. A.k.a Jin. That’s why he decided to give Jun the goods. That’s the real story. That’s why you see Devil in the Tekken 3 opening, branding Jin with that tattoo on his arm.
