TEKKEN 6 Bloodline Rebellion Thread - PS3/XBOX 360 Oct. 27, PSP Nov. 3

Any solid release date yet?, I’ve “heard” October 2nd dunno if it was for US or Japan (or both?)

I believe its october 27th.

People keep saying this, but I have no trouble having good matches. Just avoid connections that are RED, duh. Not every connection is gonna be good, you have to PAY ATTENTION TO THE SIGNAL STRENGTH OF THE ROOM YOU ARE ENTERING. Yellow and green are good, red is shitty.

“good matches” online in DRO means you don’t know how to play. Seriously. No matter how good your connection to the other player is you can still have Marduk shenanigans fuck you over and the tiers are flipped on their head. It’s a completely different game online.

If your connection is good enough that you can still bust out your usual 5-7 hit juggles reliably (without double-tapping buttons), then I think Marduk shouldn’t be beasting on you any more than he does when you play with someone in the same room. I don’t play ANY Marduk players…what special advantage does he have that you’re referring to?

Whenever possible, only go green. And if you notice the connection changing colors/fucking up start turtling your ass off. That isn’t the time to try to CH launch into a just frame off axis max damage juggle and shit like that. DRO is tolerable.

Have you ever played Ziggyfield? I mean sure he’s far away, but he really displays how lag tactics are abuseable as fuck. And yes, you can hit those juggles, but only if you factor in lag. I had a friend of mine superior to me, very stylish, could do lots of EWGF and complicated/hard to time law combos.

Then he learned how to do them online. Next time we played IRL we felt like downs children because our timing was so off. We acclimated for the inherent lag, which even with full green all the time, can and is most often really really bad.

 Yea some of the best players refuse to play online and if they do, they mess around offline for a bit afterwards. Apparently to “wash away” the “lag hands”. I had to do this before a tourney. 2 days before one I just didnt play online but practiced execution and played other people locally. You don’t have to be that extreme with it, as long as you can adapt to the timing during both online and local play.

And if anyone isn’t liking or having fun with online, you DON’T have to play it. It isn’t neccessary to becoming better at all. Nor really crucial to find competition like VF5 Ver.C .

Obviously he meant to say Alex.

wait wait wait… people actually play dr online? I have like a 10% win ratio on that shit as opposed to 80%ish on my card (almost 3000 wins for DR i think?)

stfu vineet!

IFC FTW

TEAM IFC!!! yay ifc

ATL more or less encourages DR Online, and who are the players to beat in USA Tekken 5 DR? Precisely.

How do Houston and SoCal rank? (not being sarcastic/snarky)

Haha I beat Anakin online. What does this mean? Absolutely SHIT.

wasnt ladykiller on top for awhile too. there is notion that everyone seems to forget, anyone can beat anyone at any given moment. cause your good doesnt make you god!

we hold it down… but not sure about DR anymore. We’ve been on that BR recently… although Trashday is coming up soon!

Not ATL. ATL=Doesn’t Travel enough and never did. Holding it down in your own town is one thing, traveling to other places and winning is another. Also claiming your the players to beat in a basically dead game is not impressive. It’s like saying “Who are the players to beat in Tekken Tag in USA, that’s right, Iowa”

I’m not saying ATL can’t win if they travel but they’ve never proven that they can. When Tekken 6 BR: is released we’ll see if ATL can truely hold it down.

they can hold their own and they’ve proven it.

I’m still more impressed by danielphoenix, dude doesn’t even play for months and months and straight up embarrass spero gin in their money match then has a great showing in the tournament. He’s damn good.

DR Online isn’t about competition, it’s a learning tool. Learning how people think with their characters. Reaction takes a back sit and your ability to predict comes to the front. Doesn’t matter who wins as the skill difference between players in any online game is in a sense squeezed together.

No disrespect to other scenes. I should have worded that differently, but there is no questioning ATL and GA as whole’s ability at Tekken.

Japan doesn’t travel much either that I know of, so I guess they are garbage. Think that one through one more time. :wonder:
