Naw, Kojima has sated multiple times that MGS4 is NOT gonna see a 360 port.
I agree. I’m not saying I LIKE the delay (even as someone who may not get a PS3, I think that the PS3 version should still come out earlier, and have the 360 version come out in the fall, a la VF5), but this is actually a valid point. It’s nice to have a lot of high profile fighters, but I’m not sure if oversaturation is the way to go. Besides, SC4 didn’t come out that long ago. I don’t think Namco wants to compete with themselves. Tekken and SC rarely come out the same year.
Another possible reason as to why the console port of T6BR is going to be so late could be so they can make sure they have “THE” version for it. As you know, Namco will obviously play around and patch BR over the up and coming months and they can tweak around to get a final version they’re happy with until T7.
When you’ve got said final version, then it’d make sense to release it on console. To the casual eye I’m sure they don’t care but playing out of date versions or incomplete ones but it really annoys the players who take the game seriously. Maybe Namco twigged onto this and aren’t rushing.
It’s a long shot idea but you never know.

and having to play ver A69 of T6 is annoying as hell. They can’t upgrade it (it’s a japanese board) because when they hook it up to the internet it’s blocking the arcade’s non-yellow ISP
I don’t necessarily think this had anything to do with their decision, but this will be an advantage to the delay. It was annoying that PS3 owners couldn’t play VF5 Ver C, and it’s even worse than no console players can play VF5:R. Same was true for Final Tuned.
Wait, I thought Sega asked fans if they would buy a home port. What happened???

As far as I know, Sega hasn’t asked anything. Sega Japan has a “comments” page, and we’ve been spamming it, but I dunno if it will actually result in a console release of R.
They have to, they added 2 characters and tweaked a bunch of junk. They owe it to the ps3 owners at the very least.

It was annoying. I wanted FT so badly when it first came out but I could understand the reason why they didn’t bother since nothing “majorly new” was added on top of Evo.
Evo justified a new release over 4 since it had 2 new characters so I’m REALLY hoping they’ll think the same down the road and port VF5R in the future. No rush since I’m sure they’d like mo’money from the arcade version but I’d be truely happy if they confirm something.
Oh, come on, now. Namco are NOT greedy bastards. Otherwise they would have made an Iron Fist + Soul (Tekken vs Soul Calibur), or at the very least TTT2.
Sucks that it ain’t coming out till fall of 09 (maybe earlier?) but this friggin’ rules. My decision to wait on the PS3 keeps becoming better and better. You guys had to know something like this was gonna happen. They put SC4 on it. Why not T6? MGS4 will be here before you know it. You can say “Oh Kojima said this and that”. :lol: You know who talks the best?

Money talks BUT in the case of MGS4 that Development team isn’t gonna go back and try to port that game to the X-box. It would be too much of a hassle.
Namco fucked everybody over. I don’t care about it going multiconsole(good luck playing on that shitty X-box d-pad), but the least they could’ve did was give us Tekken 6 in CD form already instead of waiting another year.

You make it sound like using pads is so bad. Understand ever since i’ve first played Tekken since 2, I’ve always used pads and i’ve had no problem adapting to arcade stick.
BUT i’m not one of those pad users that need to use the shoulder buttons to play. I strictly use the face buttons and thats it.
At any point, i guess i’ll get back to practicing with Anna.
