Dude I agree with everything you’ve just said 100%.
I also hate how you can’t walk any faster while targeting an enemy in Scenario Campaign but that’s like the only problem. You can run while holding a lead pipe but I don’t understand why you can’t normally run without one.
I don’t know what’s up with the loading times on the PS3. It’s ridiculous. I’m glad I have Tekken 6 for the Xbox 360, lol.
They should make a sequel to Tekken Tag Tournament and bring back Kunimitsu, Gon, Dr. Boskonovitch, Violet, Miharu Hirano, Forest Law, Prototype Jack, Alex, Devil, Angel, Gun Jack, Tiger Jackson, Ogre True Ogre, Tetsujin, Unknown (I like her better since she can change her fighting style in-game), Combot, Jinpachi Mishima (but toned down a lot) and Michelle Chang just for the fun of it. Holy shit, that’s a lot of extra characters! It’d be Tekken: Armageddon.
apparently the demons are suckers for lows. I basically spammed Lars’s d/b+4 the whole time (the 2 times I tried again the other night.) Alisa died once each time and I myself died the first time against DJ. Second time though, I just pushed DJ off the stage with the gun…ironically enough, no one bothers to fly back on stage after they’re knocked off.
Alright, I’ve just tried that. I didn’t realize Lars’ DB+4 sweep has fast start-up and recovery. I’ve never really played the campaign with Lars though so I was unable to get far without the items and attributes. I did take your sweep method into consideration though. I used Alisa to stand back and spam her BB+1+2 missile attack (which takes the demons out in about two hits) and I’d sweep them when they got close. I actually got up to Devil Jin with this method twice in a row (and got owned because Lars dies and then I’m screwed) so I’m pretty satisfied.
I think what I’d need to do in order to finally beat it is to grab the Gatling Gun and move it to the other side of the train earlier so that when Devil Jin arrives (he lands on the side of the gun so I can’t safely grab it), I can just try to shoot him off the train.
Equipping your characters with the ice and lightning attributes and extra health increases really does help a lot. So I’d like to thank everyone for helping me out and providing tips for beating this mission.
Edit: I’ve finally beaten the damn mission! I just had to shoot Devil Jin right off the train. I’m the best! Lol.
This game is rocking my face off. I haven’t had this much fun playing a fighting game in years, and think this is the best Tekken since TTT. Fuck SC mode. I play it to unlock customizations, and that’s it. This game is going to SHINE on the big stage at evo next year.
Seriously, We dont need your fucking life story about a game series. Nigga this isnt street fighter 4. Just play the game thats arcade perfect and quit your bitching. Bitchassness aside. Steve is fucking fun! But I still stick to jack/drag as my mains.
Just finished scenario mode last night. Fuck fighting Alisa. She was the most annoying boss.
Then again, I still have to play that damned Nightmare Train on hard.
Why is it that Tekken is the only fighting game franchise to handle ‘minorities’ in a respectful manner? Like when I first saw Raven I wanted to hate on his Blade aesthetic but after going through 6 he’s grown on me and he’s a cool black ninja. Which almost never happens (with the exception of Ninja Blade).
Damn, if only I had a way to take screenshots from my TV…
I made Asuka look like C. Viper at first and then eventually realized that Lili had the clothes that were closer to C. Viper’s so I made Lili into C. Viper and turned Asuka into Rangiku Matsumoto from the Bleach anime.
I also made Devil Jin look like Goku from Dragon Ball Z.
I spent so much time in the campaign last night trying to beat Nightmare Train, I just ended up collecting an insane amount of money and started customizing as many characters as I can, lol.
Practice is the best mode in any fighting game besides Versus (at least in my opinion). That’s all you need.
Azazel, Alisa, Super Jin, they’re all stupid. Took me like twenty tries to defeat each one of them. Nightmare Train on “Hard”? You crazy! I spent like all week just trying to beat it on Medium. I finally completed it last night after trying for like three hours. The only way they could have made the mission any harder is if they added in Nightmare from Soul Calibur as another opponent. Then it would’ve been a real nightmare.
Practice Mode sucks in this edition. Outside of getting rid of a couple of legacy options (command capture, move hold toggling without having to go to the menu, instant dummy techroll rather than the delay on this one wtf) and the bugs (automatic position reset), the Practice in SCIV blows it away, and it’s made by THE SAME COMPANY?! What was Namco smoking on this one?!
Visually speaking, it’s not actually, and they got rid of “Chicken!” and Jack’s windup punch 12345 soundbytes (probably Fatal Wind “Oops!” but I haven’t tried it yet). Also, I get slowdown during Raven’s cloning moves. Plus, I want to select Hidden Retreat/Fiesta Del Tomate.
-Raven is voiced by a white dude, - shitload of cool points. That shit is mad annoying.
-Christie and Eddy keeps sharing endings. Remember how boss and gangsta Eddy’s ending was on T3? Hell, even though Tiger appears in his ending on TTT, Tiger has his own ending as well! Fuck Christie!
-King and AK don’t speak Mexican, but growl instead. Por que? And in dedication of blatant stereotyping, I’m too lazy to add accents there.
-Bruce <3 that chicken, because all us black people do, so that’s why he has all those customs. Anyone see that Church’s Chicken billboard in Scenario Campaign mode? I know Bruce [wish he] did.
-Miguel is fucking awesome though, so I agree here
Lol No fair he had access to the game much earlier XD
Overall the variety is very lacking, unlike in the Soul Calibur games.
In Soul Calibur 3 I made a Dancing Hitler but I don’t think I can make one here as well
Damn…how many people don’t know about the long-distance custom attacks? I surprised the shit out of a Devil Jin user when I ducked his eye beam and returned fire with Kazuya.
