TEKKEN 6 Bloodline Rebellion Thread - PS3/XBOX 360 Oct. 27, PSP Nov. 3

@Syxx: Only because it’s the single best way to get money is to play that damn mode xD

To beat the Nightmare Train stage I just equipped an attack+ item, a freezing item, and a item boost. Then I positioned Lars and Alisa in the middle of the train and spammed 4 and d4 until I got to Devil Jin. Then after that just grab the gatling gun and shoot his ass off of the Train -> win.

Sweet pics, I’ll probably upload mine soon.

i eat my fucking words for being nice. tekken 6 online is a big fucking pile of steamy shit. jesus fucking christ. i just gave up after 5 matches. guess im gonna be practicing it up hard until some type of update comes through, or i could just get with the vegas scene, but im lazy.

I didn’t notice this much of a change between T3-T4-T5, for some reason it felt more gradual and "steady"but with T6 it just feels like I don’t know what game this is lol. I play 6 characters as my main, and when I tried all there combo’s and tricks I found almost none of them worked the same…I went into panic mode really quick because I wasn’t really sure what to do anymore. I’m trying hard to stick with this game, but lei and yoshi who are my 2 favorites just feel REALLY off or something…the game is to radically different I don’t know how to handle it.

So I’ve seen characters with katanas on their sides, but when I go to customize mine I cant find it. Its only broadswords and that chinese sword, what the hell…

I’ll probably post pics of my so far done Kaz/Lee/Leo. I think Leo’s 1p is pretty set in stone. Lee is still in the works (dude doesn’t have any good fuckin pants in his 2p outfit), and Kaz’s 1p somewhat of a oldschool throwback with his 2p T1 outfit.

pics in the morning. On another note, it’s sad i’ve found more stable matches through Ranked matches than player matches. I’ll join a room with a decent connection from the host, then everyone else in the room has shit connections. Then after playing a few with some friends, I just said fuck it and going back to ghost/training. At least there’s some type of scene down here in MD/VA. Just have to stop being lazy and go out to UMBC.

maryland has some of the best tekken players. you better get your ass out! just got back from bar. besides the overall core of the gameplay like others have said, this game feels like a rushed pile of shit. it looks good on my ol school tv though. ugh, all the ideas for this game are horrible. what happened to beat the game with your character and get an ending. now i gotta go through all these hopes to buy overpriced fucking customizations. campaign mode is a pile of fucking shit!! tekken 6 as a fighter is the best thing to come out, outside of that, the game is a big what the fuck.

yea the scene is hot. I personally would like to be in the arcades but the scene is dead here now.

I personally haven’t had much problem moneywise. I haven’t started grinding in SC mode either (mainly cause I don’t want to.) but it gives me an excuse to use Lars and semi train with him…something I won’t do yet in training.

still love this game though. I thought I was dropping Kaz until I discovered how godly d/f+1,2 and his new shit off the d/f+3 knee. I feel like an ass for trying to drop him because of the hellsweep nonsense.

only certain characters can have katanas, but every character can have a broad sword or chinese sword.

mishimas will always be a bit frustrating at first. be prepared to lose a lot before you win with kaz especially. i love how it takes two seconds to use bryan for me. lol. he aint change really. i thought there was something i might need to learn even from tk6. yeah, two moves. done. im gonna jump offline and try this bullshit online again.

repost regarding the onine from the other thread:

alrite guys lemme clear this up for you. this is a perspective from a top player in north america here. i don’t know about the PSN, but i’ve played over 500 games so far on xbox live and i agree that online is definitely playable. i’ve a shitty dsl connection (1.6 mb dl/ .5 mb upload, wire connection to a router), and most of my matches i can land full bound combos on. i’ve some very smooth match and some laggy ones. if you have green, yellow, or blue bars it’s playable (80% of my matches).

the frame rate does drops, and sometimes so low that it feels like you’re playing underwater, but the input lag is minimal. which means that you can still land a full bound combos by just looking at the animation and timing your moves at the correct time. tekken basic juggles are very lenient and doesn’t requre strict timing like link combos in SF4. the only time it’s not possible is when there are red bars. but i play against some guy from korea who can still land a full bound combo for lars with a red bar. it’s like he input the moves a second ahead to compensate for the input lag. noobs might not able to land juggles and blame it on the lag, but to an expert player, it’s a piece of cake. remember, the input delay is minimal if you have green or blue bars. i can jab punish and hopkick blocked sweep fine. some lows might be hard to block on blue bar, but this just emphasize the importance of good spacing even more.

speaking of competition, there are tons of players from east asia on xbox live today after midnight. i’ve played lots of doods from japan and korea and their spacing are insane. most of the top ten in the leader board on xbox right now are from japan or korea. i mostly have green or blue bars with these guys and they can land full juggles too. they playstyle is completely different from western players. if you want high level play, rank up to around brawler or rouge (which is where my two characters are at, and higherst rank on live rite now is avenger i think), and the level of skill will be insane, since you mostly play against people around your rank in rank match. the one thing i hate are doods from hong kong, the ones i played all have red bars. i also played blood red from empire arcadia a few times in rank match and went 1-2 against him, but i attribute that to unfamiliarity with lei.

it’s not as good as playing in an arcade, but it’s perfectly playable and doesn’t cost you a dollar a game to try some shit out. 25 cents if you’re in socal or korea. all the mind games are still there and the better players still win most of the time. i’m so glad i got the xbox version (i heard the PS3 version lag hard), now i can sit in my room and face tons of high level competition instead of versing the same few top players at my arcade. and i’ve seen some smoking hot customs in this game, especially nina, christie, anna and lili.

When you get a “communication error” during the replay of the last match (when you won) is that when they rage-quit? i got one this morning after 2-round perfects with Miguel, and 1 yesterday when I totally dominated my opponent with Jin. I hope I’m not beasting so hard i got people drop-kicking their ps3s…

Playing around with the screenshot function on the PS3 (which I’m still amazed at), heres my Zafina and Anna customs

P1 Zaf:

P2 Zaf:

P1 Anna:

My Bryan P1 is just black leather jacket, black pants and assault boots with frameless glasses and the frankenstein face.

P2 is a hot mess done just for SC mode lol

anybody have a pic of alisa’s prologue art? i haven’t unlocked any prologue art yet…

apparently she doesn’t get any since her and Lars are stuck doing SC mode.

damn. first her customizations are garbage (IMHO) and now she doesn’t even have any art? argh.

oh well, i enjoy playing as her…she’s my main. at least the gameplay is great.

Anybody else get kicked out of rooms by sore losers when they beat the room leader?

Now that I think about it…no :wtf:

Considering how often I got thrown out on my ass in SC4 and SF4, this is a nice change.

crap happened to me the other day. I just laughed and went back to ghost battle.

I haven’t been kicked out either. I also haven’t gotten any “You’re cheap” messages either. I figured I’d at least get a couple after juggling some people for half damage all day because they constantly use unsafe moves randomly.
