Actually, Famitsu gave it 33 (9,8,8,8), but yeah ,40 for brawl totally invalidates their cred.
Re: graphics - what I’ve been reading is that the graphics do take quite a hit when you view it on a bigger HDTV. 40" and higher, and the low res make it less crisp than SC4 (according to people who have the game).
Shame really, because the graphics on the arcade are really crisp (much better than SC4 or VF5).
Yea, it seems like there’s no anti aliasing going on, so a lot of the character models are jaggy. Arcade T6 is a different story however. It rapes VF5 in the graphics dept.
I got my copy not too long ago on PS3, the character models don’t really bother me at all, I just don’t seem to understand why it ended up that way lol. Still game is fantastic
I don’t want to hate on that reviewer but he does not know how to properly review a fighting game. I actually feel Jeff Haynes would have done a better job. The VF5 ps3 port got a higher mark and was a bare bones port.
Actually the arcade has jaggies as well. How jaggy the console version is compared to the arcade is something I have to see for myself. The arcade is literally running on PS3 hardware, you even see ps3 notifications so I will be surprised if the PS3 has any unusual issues. T6 looks better than VF5 overall but VF5 gas better character models.
Actually scrubs saying they don’t like it on gfaqs says nothing because they probably didn’t explore the combo system. I am actually interested in the mode, especially because of the ability to perform all moves and combos from the arcade in a linear fashion. This mode isn’t an end all be all mode, it’s something for fun. Namco is just hyping it up to get scrubs to buy the game. Let’s keep it real, T6 is hot and it looks to be like a good port.
cantfind any, the best buys arnt giving it out early and i alreayd have my game and horistick preorder at gamstop my freind at gamestop let me see his hori he cant take his copy home until next tuesday but i have to say the stick and artbook are sweet
right now my favorite game has a big fat fucking zero for not having record option in practice mode. tekken players NEED that! plus those fancy outfits you make, yeah, in vs mode only 1 person can be customized. they need a patch on release date, and maybe they planned so, considering no one is suppose to have the game right now. i cant wait until fucking january or something to get a patch. this game is bigger than sf4 ever could have been for me, and i need all options immediately available.
I gotta say that this console release is seeming more and more half-assed. No fucking record mode, no tutorial/challenge, only one custom outfit in offline VS mode, no way to reposition lifebars, the lamest CGI opening in Tekken history, and several other niggling issues. And I’d bet money that online play is still hot ass.
The only thing with a lot of effort put in is the Tekken Force redux that no one wanted.
The fact that there is no record option in practice really is the worst news I have ever heard. It’s funny because it was a staple in the series since 3. I would trade in online mode just to have the record option. IMO you can learn more with it than playing laggy matches online. T5DR was patched with practice mode & had a rec function. I am hoping we get a patch for this game, BTW namco said all DLC will be free. Should we start a petition for a record function patch?
Man, not having that option is going to be harsh on learning new characters. I don’t want to have to rely on some spreadsheet. Meh. Won’t stop me from playing though. Guess we gotta do this old school with trial and error arcade match ups!
Yeah, thank god I have two T6BR arcade machines in my city with a scene. This will ultimately hurt players who don’t have a thriving Tekken scene. I actually believe namco will hear the players out and add a patch down the line.
