DS1, All the way.
bleet, stfu
imo
This all day.
It really is the best pad for Tekken, imo.
That vid of scenario mode made it look really really easy to unlock items.
yea they said that its a way for the non hardcore kids to get gear faster
Seems boring to me, I’ll just run through arcade mode a few times.
if the intro i just saw is the intro. im thoroughly disappointed. tekken 5’s intro is better than that fucking bullshit. that aside, tekken 6 is god like. sf4 is the sucks, and will especially not get played until the super version come october 27th. you know how long since i have played tekken. sheesh. i played 6 a little when i moved to vegas, and then 1 month later they dropped br. LOL! its been dr for so long. its almost here. mad we so far behind japan and korea though. shits weak. what, 3 arcades in america have br.
Truth is, a pad is only as good as how it’s broken in, which is the personal preference of a player. I like mine “medium”, while some of my friends love their pads that are so worn in that you could blow on the dpad and buttons and do a combo.
This is my opinion in regards to pad performance for Tekken(All Sony Brand):
PS3 Pads- Solid. Usually already come “broken in”. Tekken is a 4 button game so you don’t have to worry about the stupid triggers. Still wireless though, and puts a bigger responsibilty on you at tournies to un-sync, or turn off your shit.
PS2 Pads- What I use. In a custom color. Just to have individuality. And so I never have problems at tournies that don’t have Syncing Stations because I have PS2 Pad+ inPin converter. So I don’t worry about crossing signals and fucking up matches. Pad itself is cool. Needs to be broken in. But I’ve had problems with some not reading double button inputs and dpad malfunctions. This is either straight out of the box or after a few uses. Just something to look out for. But most last for the long haul and you’ll have your own signature print in it like your favorite side of the couch.
PS1 Pads- Not my preference. Smaller buttons and a grip that I have long since grown unaccustomed to. The pad itself is very stiff. Find myself having to pound out the Dpad for movement.
This just my opinion after owning and using a few of each pad for fighting games and Tekken. Converters I’d personally only roll with inPin or Pelican(if you can still find one). Those are the best converters. Some peeps have Radioshack converters and the like, and they’ve gotten used to the slight bit of lag. But playing over someone’s house or tourney with HD, it could get aggravating. I wouldn’t chance it.
See…I don’t like my D-pad’s too stiff. Cause on 5 dr, I’m switching main’s from Feng Wei and Bruce, to Feng Wei and DVJ. And doing LD’s and WD’s are easier on that pad(granted it’s a bit harder since I don’t have a stick). But the main thing about a pad for me, is that is has to be big enough to fit my hands comfortably. I have some monster hands man. And sometimes that ds 3 just feels…ergh at times. The face buttons are bit ‘low’ to me, but the DS2 has the nice buttons I like, but that damn pad…at ish is stiiiiiiiiiffffff (to me anyway)
I don’t know then man lol. I have a regular(light) Sixaxis and a (heavy) Dualshock 3. I like the DS3 more for weight but both PS3 pads came with a smooth Dpad straight out of the box. Only ever came across one stiff Sixaxis over someone’s house, and that shit is famous now. You’re not deathfisting on that lol. PS2 Dpads you usually gotta beat into how you want it. But once this happens they’re good to go. I have big hands too so I can feel you.
Just cop you a DS2 then. Play-Asia.com for stock of Sony brand that are relatively inexpensive and isn’t either black or blue color like all the ones that remain in stores. And hit up Laugh(via PM on SRK and TZ) for the inPin. Might be like $27 including the shipping. Can’t remember.
I was all over the DS2 when I played Tekken 4 and 5 on the PS2. Even used it going back to play older Tekkens. But I converted myself over to the arcade stick. Trying to play on a pad now is so strange. DS2 felt like it had the better pad. DS1 felt too stiff. Even after a long period of time of using it. And the DS3 feels the same.
The OG PS1 pad - no DS/analog sticks - is the best, DS2 second best.
DS1/PS1 pad are the same thing. Im just used to the added weight. <3 my ds1. I wonder if theres a way to put a six axis PCB in it? !?!?!??!?! Anyone know if its possible?
PS1 generally refers to the digital playstation 1 pads with no joystick. I think you know the difference between that and a dualshock 1.
^No I know what he means, I think you should re-read my post.
Anyone going to watch the 1UP broadcast tonight on T6?
No, Because they wont give us any new info
I think we know just about everything about it. Online though may be under NDA but we’ll see. And besides, Renzo’s there to show it off.
So yeah. That 1UP thing. Meh.
