Sooooo does this mean there’s match recording in console BR now? Or was it just captured using other equipment? Hope it’s the former.
EDIT: It would be really cool if Namco Bandai pulls a VF4Evo and add in a whole bunch of high level replays in the game for us to watch.
Man that was great to see a King player of all people take down the smug Miguel, no more finger wagging from him.
So now we can see the changes to the HUD from the arcade version…
I never liked this whole widescreen HUD standard thing. I really hope there’s an option to make them wider apart or stretched out. All that space on the outside of the screen upsets my sense of balance. Plus those long strands of lightning by the lifebars look hella fruity.
They look like the result of Marduk accidentally poking King in the eyes while he skeeted
I dont know whats funnier, the fact that he basically got his ass whooped through all 3 rounds or how the King player did his finger wagging to him when he won and laughing at the smug player’s face…
But that Kazuya player in the beginning was pretty good.
Agree on both counts, I bet the finger wave pissed that guy off majorly. I liked the Kazuya as well, he wrecked house early on.
Question about that video: Near the end the King player was knocked out, yet next round came back. Any reason for this?
A post from TZ about CRASH S2.
Which would explain why Triple.H came back at the last match since he had alot of wins.
Smug Miguel? You mean Rain?
WHO SPEAKS FOUL TOWARDS THY MIGUEL?!
1000-frame unblockables all of youse
Rains miguel does suck compared to the goonies though.
the hud is exactly the same as the arcade. all that free space there is because they are using the default chars. Those don’t track win/loss info nor do they display a custom name and rank. normally you’ll see a custom name/title, rank with the overall win/loss and win %. all that info is normally there when you play with a custom profile.
Interesting, thanks for that little tidbit.
Hello guys! I have a (maybe stupid) question:
how does customization is in Tekken? I mean is like SC4 where any character can use same dresses, or has every character got his/her own set of costumes?
assuming the netcode will be as terrible as tekken 5’s, leading to the “community” to do things like ban throws online, so there’s no point in buying this?
Well SC4 online play is actually better than T5:DR netplay. That made indicate something. SCIV is at least very playable. T5:DR lags up and down.
I mean seriously, I play the same guy in SCIV, tekken, and SFIV. SCIV and SFIV were ok to play netplay wise but Tekken was terrible.
I am just hoping Tekken 6: BR online will be at least playable. Although online, lows and throws are pretty cheap especially with lag as their are close to being unblockable.
Customization is different in Tekken. I don’t know specifics (how it’s increased with 6), but it’s not “freehand” like SCIV customization. i.e., you don’t have the ability to change the color of something to whatever you’d like, I think.
SCIV online may be better than DRO, but it is still pretty bad (you still have to compensate for a huge difference when going out on offline excursions).
True. SCIV is pretty bad but it can be played at least. In Tekken 5 DR, the lag is atrocious. T5 DR online play makes SCIV look good.
It won’t be as bad, they’re completely re-writing a new internet code from the ground up. Something to remember is that T5: DRO was their first fighting game they tried internet play with, and it was merely tacked on. SC4 was an evolution on that netcode, and was light years better as the net play wasn’t merely tacked on. T6 should be a LOT better… When you work on the netcode along side a game, instead of forcing it later, you can tweak the code to work better with latency.
You’re confusing the Tekken community with the SC community.
The Tekken community won’t ban anything. They simply don’t take online seriously.
Harada did state that they’ll focus more on match-ups for the online code. My speculation is that they’ll be doing something similar to SF4, wherein most of your opponents will be the ones with the least lag / geographical gap between you, so if you’re based in the US, most of your opps will be near your geographical location, same with Asia, etc.
Makes sense if you ask me.
@FightingGames4ever:
No, it doesn’t work like SC. T6 has universal customs (hair mostly), shared (some weapons, extra stuff like Flags, shades, etc.), and character exclusive ones (color variations, specific clothing, etc.) You can’t custom color the hair like in SC with an RGB/HEX color field, just select pre-prepared ones.
SC also allows you to increase your characters bulk, or decrease, which Tekken doesn’t allow (and shouldn’t IMO). However, you can mix and match a few items, unlike SC (e.g. SC won’t allow you to “create” your own hair).
There’s enough to get creative, but don’t expect to turn Miguel into dhalsim or something.
