but you can just short hop the tornado…the hitbox is only the lower half of the sprite.
and the infinite is only on console, and a Corner CC.
Regardless, It doesnt make him not broken. And not many can short hop a close up tornado on reaction. Why use a full screen tornado?
I want to know how the hell we went from talking about top ranking players, to talking about Joe from KOF.
Year of the Muay Thai/Muay Boran!
I wonder…how many Bruce,Lars,Law players we’ll see online now…how many people will actually KNOW how to use them?
Not many, I’ll be rocking jack/mig/drag/bob/king/aking/jin. Thats it
Man, don’t remind me. I fear when T6 hits, I’m going to be having a lot of mirror matches. :lame:
been playing King since T3, so won’t change that. I might try out Bob or Miguel because I wanted to try someone new, and they look interesting, Miguel looks really interesting so I’m leaning more toward him than Bob, but Bob can be a Power ranger. lol
Now I’m lumped with a potentially shitty character fanbase…awesome…
When the dude says “COUN-TAH!” I think of Hajime no Ippo.
Is that wrong?
Thinking of Hajime No Ippo is almost never wrong, shit is too good
I played it today
Got raped by a steve player first and probably last time playing.
With Lars’ throw, the flipping throw, for some freaking reason, no matter what punch button I hit, I could not break that thing. Is it a two button break?
press down to break
Yeah you gotta duck that throw. Since Lars has a King/AK-like “iSW” throw/airthrow - which can also be done f3~2+3 - and a “shoulder ram” move (f+1+4) treat his uf+3+4 like a Frankensteiner
HOWEVER, once he lands he can throw two different moves, I think one is a low and the other’s a mid. So be cautious, otherwise jab him outta it.
Played a lot of BR this weekend. I HATE STEVE I HATE STEVE I HATE STEVE.
Miguel is awesome though, I’m getting better with him and Lars. Easy for me to buffer SAV into a lot of his moves now and wr3/db1 mixups is 1337.
Spamming his unsafe hopkick twice in succession almost never fails the second time, whereas I can do CH uf4,df1~f,df1,df42,df22,b!,(ff)df21,w!,(ff),df422 (or for oki after wall, d2 to d3 manly stomp if they don’t tech or db1* or SAV df2 or…1+4 taunt fuck it lol)
Lars, a lot of people don’t realize his weird-looking ff43 is a low~high. People should treat that like Devil Jin’s hellsweep, a move I really hate even though it only trips on CH now. I couldn’t cancel out of DE for shit for some reason, so I just spammed headbutt throw until it was broken. I shouldn’t really be spamming uf3 but a lot of people aren’t used to punishing it…except for jab happy Steve…
Lei…I’m lovin’ him. BT 1132 is a quick high-mid-low-high but if opponent doesn’t block the low the 2 is guaranteed, giving a staggering fall ala Jin’s CH f4 for delicious oki.
Also messed around with AK/Bryan/Law/Dragunov/Julia/Feng/Paul/Asuka/Anna/Kazuya/Leo/Kuma shit…I’m probably going to be the only person in the UNIVERSE who’s going to play EVERYONE, both separately and with my main Mokujin (4-17 so far lol)
Errr…
so you quit a game because you lost the first time you played it?
Weak man. Weak.
Dude I played everyone but chreddy on 5 DR. I’m probably still going to main Feng Wei, but I’m thinking about putting Lars as a my main first and having Feng Wei, Bruce, DJ, and Leo as back ups.
Hey, I have a question about the LE bundle of this game. I posted in another thread earlier, but no one is responding so hopefully the people that read this are more helpful. Copied and pasted:
I’m wondering if it’s worth getting that LE version. I’m mostly interested in that wireless stick. Do you guys know anything about that thing? how it charges (internal or external batteries), if its internal batt and it dies can i keep it plugged into system and still use it as a “wired” stick, lag due to wireless technology, where the parts are from (sanwa or w/e), moddibility (quick disconnects?), and any other important stick stuff i may have missed. I’d essentially be paying $90 for it, which seems pretty good to me. But i don’t want to be paying $90 for a piece of shit that’s gonna die on me. It’s either that, or I somehow build a stick.
Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask, but it is Tekken related. I’ll move to the joystick thread if you guys say that is more appropriate. Thanks in advance for your help.
How much trouble do you guys have with learning multiple characters? With Tekken I always had the issue of liking too many people. For BR I want to learn Kaz/Lee/Lili/Hwo/Bruce/Lars and maybe King.
Why do you guys use so many characters?(this isn’t even tekken specific)
Few things. Either you’re that much better than your competition(where you can get away with it), or your competition is quite low OR missing knowledge on something you’re exploiting(such as lack of matchup knowledge) with using multiple. You guys either got more time than your average fighting game player and normal gamer, and can take all or most of these characters to great heights, or you’re mediocre with some… possibly every last one of them(including your mains - because the other characters just nabbed time slots).
You can’t be all that strong at a game or character, if you’ve got all these other ones on your plate, taking up most of the quality time.
Don’t get me wrong, because learning another character strengthens the character you DO use, because you get a hands on look at other character strengths and weaknesses. But I think there’s a line, unless you have infinite amounts of time.
It’s just like people that play a shitload of different fighting games. It’s the same reasons.
That’s the spirit, play ONE time, and obviously lose since you had no idea what you were doing yet, and then quit and never play again…
It takes more than 1 game to learn tekken…
