Miguelllllllllllllllllllllllll!!!
Wow. The entire group is within 2 letters? (Albeit separated into + and -…)
Is that the entire cast list or is the rest not worth playing?
Nope that’s all 40 of `em. I found it strange in the past when Christie and Eddy were in different tiers because of their height but yet to see concrete proof of which combos can and cannot work within them.
Nancy is going to be so much fun to play in Tekken Force mode…the first time only.
I await the day when there will be Azazel mirror matches online (H4X) and people will have to bet real money to see which one will win/when the game will crash.
Yeah I’M FUCKING HYPED!!!
Bryan’s wall taunt setup:
Don’t forget the good ol’ toe-tap getup.
I always find it funny how everyone forgets that tiny move. The hitbox means that the taunt whiffs over it, and you’ve got a good chance of hitting Bryan before any of his lows hit. (of course, there is the risk of it being low parried, but I’ve never seen that happen).
Same here. Apparently though, Eddy’s better because of his throw setups.
You can really sum it up as:
Everyone on A: can win a tourney.
Everyone on B+: can win a tourney if you’re as good as MDJ or Suiken. Whether or not that applies to Alisa, Roger, and Ling is up for debate though.
Everbody on B: can win, but probably not a tourney (although I pray some Yoshimitsu player proves me wrong. I have a soft spot for immortal cybernetic samurai zombie robin-hood’s).
Miguelllllllllllllllllllllllllllllll
i forgot this game is coming out for the psp
not every stage has a wall, and i think that is too important to him being A+ instead of A, so A class is fine for him
I don’t think tiers matter for this game much. Atleast not anymore so than VF. All characters can be beasted with in the right hands.
on the west coast =P
ya really when the lowest is considered B- … it’s a real balanced game for sure, i think that is BR’s strength
Truth. Although the gap between Raven and Steve is still a little wide for me. Thankfully my triangle are all “A-level” characters (Steve, Lili, Lars). Makes up for my B-level skill.
(Namco rule-of-thumb: pick the blonde/light-haired characters.
Look at the evidence: Bob, Lars, Lili, Steve, Nina, Lee, Bryan, and T6 Leo.)
Anyhow, for those who want to take this game a bit more seriously, here’s the link to inatekken’s frame data (for all characters). If you can’t read japanese, Google’s translator does an ok job.
Agreed as well. I’ve edited the list:
As of July 25, 2009:
A’s
A+ = Steve, Law, Bryan
A = Bob, Bruce, Lili, Paul Julia, Nina
A- = Ganryu, Lee, Lars, Heihachi, King, A.King, Feng, Jack, Eddy, Kaz, D.Jin, Baek, Christie, Anna, Miguel, Hwo, Dragunov
B’s
B+ = Lei, Leo, Ling, Marduk, Jin, Roger, Asuka, Wang, Alisa
B = Zafina, Yoshimitsu, Raven, Bears, Mokujin
Current discussion is about Raven though. If he’s moved up to B+ or A-, it wouldn’t surprise me.
hey since the co op engine runs on a system that returns the movelist to normal once you’ve locked on, does that mean we might be able to get some 2 vs 2 online matches?
they said that tekken 6 will be PACKED with extra features for the console version which is why it took so long to come out, and they’ve only shown us a co op mode, so…
I think Lars should still be right under steve. It’s no doubt Law and Bruce got a HUGE shot up, but I’m a little sad that Feng isn’t almost king of the mountain.
Feng is underrated if you ask me. And IMHO, it’s only because he requires brains to play with. Unlike Jack for example.
Lars simply isn’t as good as Lili or Bob though. Lars is really the same as Feng’s level. ergo: At higher levels, they require an extra amount of brain power. A lot of Lars’ moves are unsafe, and he doesn’t have much that he can use to break through a good turtle, so you need to think a bit more in order to get your KND’s and launchers in.
So Feng requires brains to play? :wtf: Did they change him in this game because in T5 and DR, a god damn monkey could play with him.
In high tier play he requires more thought. Tekken lends itself to any skill lvl. It just depends on what lvl of play your opps are at! Hope that makes sence gimpy?
Miguel brought me to the top 16 in the T6:BR tourney (thanks to SDT) at Comic-Con.
Landed his unblockable on my first match in the top 16. I had the :wtf: face on when it landed.
And from what I’ve seen, Lars should be in A tier.
tek…ken…?
Ok, Feng Wei first of all, I really do think he’s damn close with some of the other chars just because of the new moves they gave him.
His BT throw sets up way more mind games now. CD+2 now has the knock back like Paul and Wang, and his b+3+4 has some new interesting moves, and a nice low that trips on counter hit, add in the fact his side step mixups are good mind game tools, and B+1 is still very good to use(certain situations), and I really do think Feng needs to be behind Heihachi IMO, and Ganryu I can’t speak of, I haven’t seen much from him, but I think Bruce is better than Bob IMO, and
Tops: Steve, Lars, Law Bryan, Bruce, Ganryu(taking your word he’s good), Feng Wei, Heihachi and the rest.
Thats how I believe it should be. But this is just theory anyway.
Jack requires brains to play too, Stop saying he’s a brainless character.
