TEKKEN 6 Bloodline Rebellion Thread - PS3/XBOX 360 Oct. 27, PSP Nov. 3

namco better be releasing this with some top-tier netcode. i’m gonna play the shit out of this online.

Ill continue my Combo Series once this is released.

It was a kickass game at Evo. I admit, some people hated playin me at hat & TvC. LOL! Whoopins all day for you solid snake. lawl!

So forgive me if this isn’t already answered, but the cardboard samurai outfit and the samurai banners are gonna be limited to pre-orders right? They’re not just gonna add it in later like with the SFIV downloadable content right?

I had alot of fun playing this game at Evo, I can not wait to get my hands on Alisa, I’m extremely hype for it.

Currently exclusive for Gamestop pre-orders. I don’t remember seeing any plans of later making it DLC.

As long as it runs smoother than DR i will be pleased.

^Thanks Shino, don’t want to pre-order it for the items only for them to show up a few weeks later >.<

This literally will impact the rest of my year following the release. My friends will end up seeing me a whooooole lot less if it’s good.

We been wishing for this for… I don’t know how long man… it ain’t gonna happen :frowning:

Harada said on his blog that they rewrote the code from the ground up. Saying that DRO was their first time. He saw the complaints on his IGN blog, so at least he knows there’s an issue.

Arturo passes on wisdom to the E. C. Tekken community
Arturo “Sabin” Sanchez tells the Tekken community to find an ambassador for their game and advices them to stop playing on pads and start competing with joysticks.

I am still waiting for the real Steve player (i.e. NIN), but he will only be doing the commentary in the second Tekken Crash series. :xeye:

Nah, Tekken was never based on exploits or engine-abuse/glitches unless you are referring to Tekken 4. Shenanigans, on the other hand, have always been a part of Tekken. Some characters (e.g. Yoshimitsu) are competitive because of having so many tricks/traps/shenanigans and the player can simply out-knowledge the opponent.

What do you think about DR?

Haha, allow me to show something then; it might help you:

It might sound strange to you, but Tekken is ideally a game of spacing/controlling space and punishment at its peak contrary to VF which is about forcing throw/mid mix-up. It might also explain the success to 2D players in Tekken since Tekken rewards a lot of fundamental 2D skills.

Check out this match for a clearer picture:

But movements are different in BR, it’s too early to say anything at this moment.

You also have to consider that arm animation could be quite confusing, considering that it changes once you change your side. Breaking throws depending upon initial throw animation is also viable but needs even faster reactions. Then there are usual shenanigans such as camera-tricks, masking arms with movements, BT throws (there is no arm-distinction in BT throws) and so on, which sometimes makes it even more difficult.

You can practice on Rip’s Throw Break Trainer, it’s harder to break throws in this trainer though. I wish it were the default throw-break window in the BR.

I am shortly going to send you a PM, need some information on Sarah.

^ This!

You people can get items by pre-ordering from GS, but what should the rest of world do? There is no GS in UK; I can pre-order from Amazon but I don’t think it guarantees the additional costume(s). Another retailer is only offering the costumes with expensive bundles. I hope it wouldn’t be another SC4/SF4 situation.

yea i have had way too many Slideshow battles online in DR :crybaby: i really hope they get it going smooth

Yeah really. I ordered a 3.0 Motorola modem just for this game as my ISP will be switching over soon. Atleast I know the problem won’t be on my end!

Art is right. But the problem is the only people who want to be that kinda guy are people like me and the Tekken community doesn’t do itself any favors when they seriously sit back and when asked to generate hype or give interiviews they just turn it down.

Example I went to WC, tried to get interviews, tried to generate Hype for EC vs. WC. Tried to get something interesting. No one wants it. No one with carisma is will to take up that role and the people who do have carisma and want to take up that role people don’t want to imbrace them.

Like MYK is trying to do it, KINDA with his IAMTEKKEN.com website but he’s got the charima of a block of cheese. NAPS has never been a big talker. Bronson could do it but he just wont. Flithy could do it but I dunno if he’s interested either.

It goes like that man. Like seriously, I’m working on a Tekken/Upstate community podcast as we speak for UpstateFighting.com but people refuse to get in on it. Gootecks is a special case cause the dude has got charima and people are willing to talk to him so he can blow it up. I dunno if we can get that in Tekken. Plus everyone hates everyone else.

One of my friends showed me this…

That vid was nothing but truth, I didn’t even notice that there wasn’t a ‘Tekken Ambassador’ until he said that. And now that I do it’s like…Street Fighter hype and community is like this living breathing thing full of energy, and Tekken community is like this sloth that stumbles about in which ever direction happens to be heading at the time.

Maybe BR will influence people to make some moves when it drops. Wasn’t Tekken hype during TTT? Whatever happened to that(T4? lol)?

ZTS: everyone hates everyone else? How so?

Yeah they said they won’t. But the almighty dollar/yen will be too much for them to ignore.

Watch…the instant FFVII remake happens - another never-gonna-happen-my-ass-waiting-to-happen - Namco will announce TTT2.

Plus, they got dat swerve now (Bandai).

Look at SCIV and tell me what you think.

Downgraded my pre-order to just the game, damn economy. Fuck the stick I quit. I’m extremely comfortable with pads and won’t look back. And no I don’t use macros…on Tekken :wonder:

I guess I know what shirts I’ll be getting in September.
