while im damn sure korea is ahead of the U.S i seriously doubt their scrubs could beat our top players. the gap isnt that wide like it was in tag. but when you think about it the top 2 players at least in so cali are korean, so i dunno it would be americanized koreans vs ones from the motherland
if you look at results in korea there is alot of diversity in the characters used. last results i saw from last week first place was a kaz player, 2nd place roger jr., third law. i hear holeman with raven is tearin everyone up. maddogjin won nationals with steve. so theres a good diversity although steve seems to be the most popular.
hwoarang = who? ah, rong! say it with me people hoo ah rong
soo = yup, that’s how it is for the most part. VAST majority of people over here in US refuse to play cvs2 without sagat/blanka in the team. Most of them can’t even explain why they’re good, they just play them. But scrubs over there is still scrub. Top people in US know their shit too. But ya gotta know, sometimes people just talk about tiers because it’s something to kill time, not much else.
jizzz_frame: you dont seem to know much about the game. all your posts have been worthless.
FatalFuryD: I know =]
korea vs US in T5 is relevant to japan vs US in 3s and CvS2. the gap may not seem as big because there are way more T5 players here than there were TTT players. but more doesnt always equal skill. I heard pretty much every male in Korea plays T5. thats goodbye to the competition. I live in the US so dont get it twisted. but its really not hard to tell the difference in level of play. and about the scrubs in korea taking out top players here I guess what I meant was…any random player from Korea prolly would be able to take out a “top player” in the US. I know top player uses Nina in US and Ive seen random Nina players from Korea. Tom’s Nina is crazy dont get me wrong but the ones from Korea just seem to move faster.
what the fuck are you talking about? you think that just because korea was good at tekken tag they are gods at tekken 5? how about americans who won evo 2 years in a row? your idol the koreans best man mdj got peaced out by two players from texas. unstoppable? tom from socal was also even with mdj and nin.
until you see koreans play tekken 5 against americans then all your posts are nothing but blatant fanboyism.
and if you think i dont know what im talking about we can always play tekken 5 for money. thank you now shut the fuck up.
lol. one too many idiots like you on this forum. its a good thing Ive dealt with losers like you before…
anyone to deny koreans > americans in T5 either doesnt know what they are talking about, is in denial, or is too high on hope and optimism. top tekken players from US who are cocky told me MDJ is #1 in the world without hesitation. Im pretty sure they havent played him, yet they say this. I have friends in Seoul who know/play with MDJ and they tell me there are others that are just as good as him. its just that he is an established player who the States know about. real players just know when they watch. too bad hes going to the army. idiots like you who have no say in it so you should tell yourself to STFU and not me. dont even reply to me unless Im that important to you. thanks.
so you dont want to play me? boo thats a shame. i thought you knew what you were talking about and i didnt? why dont you want to prove it?
how come tom and mdj were pretty much even? how come mdj got eliminated by two american players at evo? thats impossible. because we all know that the worst person in korea can beat the best in america.
im sure you are great at mvc2. hell, you might even be amongst the best. you may even get to talk to some good tekken players. but that doesnt give you the right to come in and bash american tekkens players just because you are a fanboy.
Im actually glad you replied. that makes me important to you.
look man. Im not a fanboy. Im not the type. when you talk about players being pretty much even you are talking about T4 and TTT? I thought we were talking about T5? plus you are comparing one player to another. Im talking about the mass majority of people from each country. americans are dope in T5. and yes, I am one of the best in Marvel. actually the best in my own humble opinion. of course Ive never won anything :karate:
Im not bashing on the American players. you really misconcepted what I said. its simple really. the koreans are just ahead of us. enough with this topic tho.
im not saying that koreans arent better than us. on average they have been better than us in every tekken game. weve made our small victories (like at evo 2003) but mostly we respect them. i just dont like how you say that the scrubs of korea are better than our best players.
how would you feel if i said the same thing about marvel? there are people who dedicate a lot of time and energy to playing these games. just to brush them off because they are american is demeaning. besides, americans havent played koreans yet. so we still have a chance.
In t4 we did take out the koreans and MDJ in the last 2 evo’s so you cant say they are better then us especially by watching a video which is the worst assumption of all. YOU have no evidence to back it up but watching a vid and your opinion…wow. Meanwhile fact is we beat the koreans twice in a row so they need to take back the tekken crown not the other way around.
i like tekken, tiers do mean something, but it doesn’t mean you can’t overcome it, even in american tekken, check the regional results and recent tournies.
checks ts5 results
ricky’s (whose the best whore in every game) nina was beaten by jop who i heard uses jack 5, or paul, not sure about the finals though. so nina is not complete bullshit that cannot be overcome. unlike american sf like in 3s where you see jwong winning with chun all day, and pyro with yun.
