And by “skilled” you must mean “Mexican”.
I planned on using Bryan, Raven and Baek as my 3 mains…are they good choices? (I know Bryan is, rofl)
Bryan and Raven are solid choices, although they both take some work before you make them hella scary. It’s mostly just execution though, and getting the dash->jab down so you can use their wall combos (in Raven’s case, getting his ff+3 out fast enough in combos).
Baek is kinda meh. He’s insanely good until people learn his shit, then he gets much harder to win with. If people attack a lot and don’t account for Flamingo sidestep, you’re set. If they turtle and play safe, he’s in trouble.
haha, and this IS tekken. therefore, he’s always in trouble
I seriously need a better air combo for King, fucking been trying to get used to playing on a pad as well so I can block better then on the sticks. Man I cant play Asuka on a controller, its either play sticks and have trouble blocking or use the controller and fuck up basic shit.
Deep down everyone is a Paul player at one time or another.
Bryan is top tier. Just accept it.
I know this is alil’ off topic, but did the graphics get toned down for the PS2 version? Christie moves a lil’ stuttering. Also I can’t seem to get the Hwoarang B&B sky rocket combo off: Sky rocket, right stance, backlash to right flamingo, 2, 6+3, Hunting Hawk.
Yes Bryan is top tier. But I’m gonna go out on a hunch and say law>bryan.
his CH juggles take more from what I’ve seen, excluding the wall bs bryan has.
so i take it lee isnt worth the trouble?
Lee is damn good, i dont know what people are talking about saying he sucks. f+3333334 is amazing. his wall combos are SICK. He has so many good pokes and high damage tools, plus he’s fun. I say stick with him.
hehe i love that move and i like his style but its discouraging when people shove him on the low tier charts.
but yeah ill keep at him some more. better get the shades… this is going to be a while :karate:
any word on where heihachi stands?
Heihachi is mid tier. Contrary to initial reports, the 2, 2~1+2 can be murdered if it is blocked. Just buffer a SSR after the first 2. It is still great tool for punishment, though. Against certain characters, like Jack or Marduk, I would say Heihachi has a 8-2 advantage.
Uhm, what’s the timing like? 'cause I’ve been trying for a while now, with no success. I see my character sidestep, but then they just get hit.
Dude, he’s a one-trick-pony. He’s so dependant on walls it’s sad. Without walls, he’s not scary AT ALL.
Even with walls, if you just turtle like crazy, what can he do to make you duck? His throw game is just average and none of his fast lows hurt much, nor do any of them give him advantage on hit.
As the 2 is getting blocked buffer SSR.
Edit: Nevermind, got it. Thanks for the info.
I’m a complete scrub at this game but I plan on using Asuka. Anyone know if where she stands? If she’s low tier, I might have to switch to Raven or something…
i <3 King thats all i have to say
Asuka’s alright. I probably think a little more highly of her than most. There aren’t that many good Asuka players and she’s hella popular among scrubs. She’s got nice damage both with and without walls, plus some decent lows and good high/low crush. She’s not great, but she’s not that bad either.
Alright whatever, you’re the tekken master.
BTW Asuka is prolly bottom mid tier. If she’s any higher than that, please prove it to me, thx.
Since you admitted you’re a scrub, Asuka is a good character for you. She’s the scrub character of T5, i dont know why, but thats just how it is. If you actually plan on seriously playing, it might be best to steer away from her since most people when they actually find real competition stop playing her cause they say she has a hard time pressuring the opponent or having anything resembling offense.
