Tekken 5 Tiers?

Dominating where?

Give me some serious examples.

JannaKazama got 3rd in STL with Steve.

At SoCal, Tomhilfiger placed 2nd with Nina and Steve and Insanelee took 3rd with Nina.

Honkey#1 used DJ, Steve, and Kaz in Toronto.

Otherwise, Steve and Nina have been doing pretty well in local and overseas events. Steve’s raised all kinds of hell in Korea, although Nina’s been surprisingly absent in the few results we’ve seen.

Exactly, also considering Maddogjin got 1st place in Korean Nationals with Steve/Bob.

Every major tournement to date has had a Steve/Nina player place top 3. And the same thing is going to happen at the majority of regional tourneys (well, hopefully not at ATL south, b/c my Feng will be taking that one :bgrin: ).

Ok, it’s a result from US&Canada…

Post top 3 results from STL, SOCAL, TORONTO

Top Nina players got owned in all Major tournament in Korea
Steve&Nina didn’t do well in Japanese tournament.

Maddogjin Steve also lost in the first round against Dongpal Kazuya in major Korean tournament. Bormai/Xiaoyu was 1st and Knee/Bryan was 2nd in that tournament.

Which Major tournament are you talking about?

post the results please.

And why that is, I dunno.

Japanese tournies are one game, single elim. They don’t mean jack, sorry.

Was this before or after Nats? 'cause MDJ still won when it mattered.

Most Japanese tournaments are like that, but Feng is still dominating in Japan.

It was 2 weeks before Nats. Also MDJ had huge luck against Lee Mario in Nats.

Korean nationals were like in december and a lot has been discovered about nina and steve since then. Like better wake damage and just stupid oki set ups. Especially with nina. It seems more good players are just gravitating to her the more shes flushed out. Here in the states I seriously doubt that you will see one major tournament without steve or nina placing in the top three let alone the top five. Hopefully bernard or mr mcqueen can grab top place at atl.

On a side note zig wouldnt it be nice to see at least one marduk player pull a tournament win out there ass.

Sorry for the newbie questions but why is Steve considered top tier? I mean what are the things that makes him so good to be top. I never really understanded why. Oh and why do alot of people dislike T4 so much? I thought that game was pretty good overall imo.

Very strong mid game (T5 is all about mids). Fast pokes, Safe moves. Huge damage potential.

What is Bryan’s new good stuff in T5 and what makes him so good compared to previous versions?

Good new poke strings, better juggle game, buff new command throw, and the changes to walls make his wall combos obscenely powerful.

Whoa, what happened to Jin?

He takes skill now.

Anyone who doesn’t understand why Steve is good deserves a fucking BOOM HEADSHOT.

I fucking hate that match with my robot man, Jack-5. :frowning: Zig, gimme pointers. You’re the god of technical mumbo-jumbo.

Steve vs Jack=you are FUCKED!!!

good. I want to use him in this one.

hey just block perfectly…

who do you guys think is better raven or feng?

I picked raven first because I liked his savage oki, or at least he can hit guys on the ground. His juggles seem a lot stronger, but it’s damn near impossible for me to be consistent on his knees.(ff+3)

so I’m thinking feng is better now, i been messing aroudn with him and he seems more open and not 1 dimenional. his strings are more confusing for players who haven’t played against him. raven seems very 1 dimensional to me.

that’s uh… that’s not very technical
