haha. damn. lei is actually my main character… but yeah I realize he is horrible. Im sticking with kaz for the most part now.
oh and someone mentioned something about “hei being broken”. He is pretty good… but what people are complaining about is his 2~21 Basically, 10-frame jab starup, into guaranteed fireball looking animation thing. 1+2, whatever its called. And on top of that, free ff+2 or runup/stomp. oh… and safe! but I might be mistaken. someone correct me if i am.
It’s just 2,2,1. You can punish the 1 if you sidestep after the 2, but that doesn’t do you much good when it’s use for punishment. What a disgusting oversight.
Lei might get better, who knows. There’s been talk over some uber-good wall combo the Koreans found, but nobody’s bothered to actually post any details.
I dont know. I mean, for the most part im not too concerned about the damage. He has some nice juggles (though pretty hard)… and some easy, decent damage juggles. Most of the old juggles suck though. What most people are overlooking is the fact that he has NO priority and has no powerful/safe mids. More or less its just pecking away, trying to be tricky.
from what I know a couple of my friends in korea told me they dont play nina because she is boring.
i suck and need tips vrs a random ass christie btw i use steve
People get that messed up all the time. They’re like “how’d you throw me out of that??” throws are 11-12 frames people. That’s pretty damn fast so they’re going to beat out alot of shit. Including ws attacks if you time them right.
Nina wasn’t that explored in Korea that is a fact. In Tekken 4 Korea thought Nina wasn’t that great until Tom went over there. So whos to say they still don’t know whats up with Nina. Don’t know really.
Lei sucks but he can still do some things . Basics like standing 1,2. If they hit do a sweep or a razor rush. Do some basic boshyt don’t try to get too fancy with all these gimmicks. I think if you wanna be serious about Lei don’t depend on tricks use hard nose mix ups and turtling. If you can get a lead Lei can be annoying however if you’re down by alot its very difficult for him to come back. Take the lead early and run wit it.

I would agree to an extent that nina is just not as discovered as she is in the US. but there are the few players that do use her and very well. nin’s nina is quite fun to watch and very technical. I would prolly say tom’s nina is better overall. koreans just dont take her seriously.
Not to discount SRK at all guys, but if you want another site that is STRICTLY Tekken you can go to www.tekkenzaibatsu.com for excellent Tekken info. Yeah I read on TZ the same thing about the Koreans SUCKING WITH NINA. It was an interesting convo between insanelee (t5 Nat champ, USMCOGRE-They said his Nina sucks LOL and Bronson) that was funny shit! I think Law played properly is really good! His BT options and more safe shit, nice new DSS combos…can still use the Slide WS+2 mixups etc, can abuse 1,2,3 for frame advantage etc…nice nice nice If you must say so. Feel free to disagree…
how many koreans have you seen use nina for you to say they suck? I know for a fact nina isnt a common character in korea but the ones who do use her they do not suck. if korean nina sucks, americans suck with every other character. before I get flamed read that carefully and try to get the point. I even know of a couple anna users who are just raw. but you dont hear about how crazy the korean annas are. just because its not a popular and well known fact doesnt mean yo ucan assume.
The only problem is you said excellent site for Tekken info. Its alright once you wade through the threads of Anna is the sexay and which characters are a disgrace to there nationality threads. Its a pain in the ass to go through the Asuka section and try to figure out just wtf is good and wtf is crap.
Again I have to reiterate that the Koreans play on a different setting, this makes a different. Thats why imo Nina isnt percieved to be quite as good over there then she is here.
As far as Bronson goes you can ask him himself, ive talked to Insanlee several times and even he says he wouldnt recommend someone watch him or take advice from him. He uses some of the most unsafe tactics ever. Funny ass guy though.
Were pretty good at generalizing aren’t we?
So… just because you don’t see Nina’s in the top 10 of most Korean tournaments means that ALL Koreans suck with using Nina? I think your jumping the gun, way out of line there.
There are some very good Nina players in Korea but they don’t play anywhere as same as US Nina’s and do the same whoreable move over and over. They actually make her fun, the little amount of people that use her. And not do d/f+1,2 all day. Koreans use all chars well… people say american pauls are better, hell Naroc Hof is one scary fucking Paul player if you ask me.
I must concur [that she is boring].
my nigga! you tell em dawg. Hof’s paul is some nice shit. better than the pauls Ive seen here.
Haha yeah man. I remember giving JOP a vid of a Korean paul player long time ago. He said he loved it, it was different from the typical paul we’ve seen and come to know 10913209023 times
Shit you guys are talking about Korean Paul now… I remember when T4 first came out and Tekkencentral.com/DUK2000 released some nasty Paul/Paul vids. I’m talking like the first two months of T4 and these guys had his just frames at 100%!!!

I’m just starting to play T5, so this information is useful. Too bad I know NOTHING about the game. I’ll have to check out Tekken Zaibatsu.
Bryan can’t be beaten when I use him
